Touché, my friend.

Premium Canoe of the Week is a Colt stag canoe:

Dat's nice right there, GT.

I was hoping so. I've carried a Leatherman every day since I was in 9th grade way back in '03 (ish) working the dairy farm. I'm 31 now and have broken more of them than I care to think of. I was so impressed with the sak we got our son for Christmas I thought I'd try one myself. We keep 2 trucks our chipper and stump grinder running with little more than that and a handful of wrenches.

Just my 2 cents: the SAKS are very handy and sturdy; I have an Electrician, a Spartan, and a Tinker that I tote all the time. However, those are not up to the working level of the heavier built (and heavier) multi-tools by Leatherman, e.g., the Wave, or Gerber, et al. Get a good SAK, they are great, but for working on heavy machinery - ? ? ?

Thanks Stuart, much appreciated! Two absolute beauties you have there

Thanks, Tom, and that's a bodacious Bark River drop point you were totin'.

Stuart, I won’t watch it in front of my girls, don’t want to see them tear up;)

I won't watch it by myself, I still haven't gotten over Where the Red Fern Grows. For goodness sakes I cried at the end of the latest Toy Story, I do still have a tough guy reputation to uphold in front of my 6 year old at least... My daughter isn't quite 2 so she won't remember dad being a big baby just yet.

Maybe we should get some kleenex and watch it together with some comforting beverages. Ironically, several years after that movie came out, my grandmother yelled to me to "get your Papa's shotgun and come here." I grabbed my grandfather's Stevens 12 gauge from the bedroom closet where he kept it, grabbed 2 shells, and followed her out the back screen door to the small backyard. There was a stumbling, yowling feral cat crossing their yard to the neighbors' where kids had been playing minutes earlier. She said," Shoot it," and I did. I cried in the movie and in that yard.

I've never actually seen old yelled and don't care to, but where the red fern grows really got me.
It made me happy my best friend was right there laying across my lap as I watched it.
Gave her a couple of milk bones once the movie was over.
Far from home is another good , happens to end on a more positive note if I remember correctly though.

That's why I figured I'd try a dedicated pair of pliers. The screwdrivers don't get used much other than working on saws. It was also cheaper to buy those 5 inch pliers and a Swiss army knife than replacing my multi tool.

Sounds good. I've had a couple of cats from the farm down the road show up here after getting whacked in the road. I'm not fond of unnecessarily ending an animals life but sometimes it's got to be done.

I've never seen either movie, and haven't read Old Yeller, I read Where the Red Fern Grows when I was about 11, haven't done it again, and knowing how Old Yeller ends is plenty enough for this guy.

That looks interesting buddy, what you got there? :)

I had a bunch of quotes selected earlier this week, but an unexpected computer update/restart in the middle of the night wiped them all out by Wednesday morning when I tried to reply to them. :(:thumbsdown:
Now I'm almost a week behind and catching up half-heartedly at best.

I decided that this bone hafted Otter was too nice to collect. Gary, Gary W. Graley Gary W. Graley repaired the tip, sharpened, and administered some spa tx, wonderfully. He kindly broke from normally not making pocket sheaths and made this superb one. Thank you Gary.
