That's good you have a spare pair of boots my friend, you should get a good few years of wear out of those two pairs. Very few boots are of the same quality these days, and you'd pay a fortune for a really good pair. What size do you take BTW? Thanks pal, a nice photo of your Nifebrite too
One thing I’ve learned about clothes, shoes, etc. is that anything I find that I really like will inevitably be discontinued or changed for the worse by the time I need to buy it again. I did discover (after having bought my backup pair of boots) that there’s a cobbler in Seattle who specializes in resoling modern (non-welt-construction) hiking boots. I wear a US Men’s 13.

There was a time when I received at least 20 pairs of hiking/mountaineering/rock-climbing boots a year to test, and I was always looking for guys with the same size feet as me to give them away to! Those days are long gone, but I reckon I still have a few pairs boxed up, so the next time you're over, please remind me

As long as there isn't a shortage of Mountain Dew ("Real" or Generic) or other good tasting beverage ("good tasting" eliminates coffee, IMHO) that has a high dosage of the caffeine vitamin, and chewing tobacco for the nicotine vitamin, I'll "survive".

Wow! "Good tasting" eliminates Mountain Dew for me! Think I'll brew me another cup of coffee.As long as there isn't a shortage of Mountain Dew ("Real" or Generic) or other good tasting beverage ("good tasting" eliminates coffee, IMHO) that has a high dosage of the caffeine vitamin, and chewing tobacco for the nicotine vitamin, I'll "survive".
(The "coffee" (note quotes) served here is a "Why Bother?" decaf, anyway.)
