What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

You've been a great contributor yourself. I love the Laguioles and Bucks you frequently post. (And you have nice modern knives too!)
Hello,
Apology for my late reply (frankly I don’t recall not replying:rolleyes:)
I can say you too have some fine traditional and modern knives, even if I’ve seen only their pics.

Aryan.

Those are great pics Barrett, beautiful scenery, and Eleanor is such a character! :D :) That's good you have a spare pair of boots my friend, you should get a good few years of wear out of those two pairs. Very few boots are of the same quality these days, and you'd pay a fortune for a really good pair. What size do you take BTW? Thanks pal, a nice photo of your Nifebrite too

Thanks again, Jack! One thing I’ve learned about clothes, shoes, etc. is that anything I find that I really like will inevitably be discontinued or changed for the worse by the time I need to buy it again. I did discover (after having bought my backup pair of boots) that there’s a cobbler in Seattle who specializes in resoling modern (non-welt-construction) hiking boots. I wear a US Men’s 13.

Celebrating Pi Day (which also happens to be my wife’s and my wedding anniversary) with some peanut butter pie and 3 14’s. :D

Another quality quartet, Gary. How big is that RR half-Hawk?

Thanks, Jack. They could both use a good sharpening.

I would trade you some flowers for just a little bit of snow.

I'm sure you'll soon sort them out Rachel :) I've just been doing some stropping myself

That's a fantastic pic

Ain't that true Barrett, if I find something I like, I generally buy multiples? There was a time when I received at least 20 pairs of hiking/mountaineering/rock-climbing boots a year to test, and I was always looking for guys with the same size feet as me to give them away to! Those days are long gone, but I reckon I still have a few pairs boxed up, so the next time you're over, please remind me ;) Happy Anniversary to you and the missus Barrett :)

Thanks Dean :D

I carried my sheepfoot official Boy Scout knife today. Ulster Dwight Divine & Sons, 1923 - 1926. Other than the obvious repair/mod., it is in great shape.

Very cool

My wife was more concerned about a coffee shortage.
As long as there isn't a shortage of Mountain Dew ("Real" or Generic) or other good tasting beverage ("good tasting" eliminates coffee, IMHO) that has a high dosage of the caffeine vitamin, and chewing tobacco for the nicotine vitamin, I'll "survive". :)

(The "coffee" (note quotes) served here is a "Why Bother?" decaf, anyway.)

Wow! "Good tasting" eliminates Mountain Dew for me! Think I'll brew me another cup of coffee. :)
