What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This one or another one of its variations will be in my pocket for sometime to come.

For Saturday I'll be toting these two Swiss soldier/scouts. :)
Much thanks, JJ. What can’t you accomplish with your SA scout & soldier? Fine image, too.

@Jack Black - Thank you Jack. The Hartshead and pears still life. Like a Dutch Master.

TEW Barlow in Stag : Be still my heart !!!!:eek::eek::D You should have warned me Harvey
Thank you Harry. I felt the same way staring at your Sambar 62s, especially the bottom one.

@btb01 Happy Anniversary to you both.

Maiden Voyage, Robeson Cigar Cattleman Stockman(you never forget your first cigar pattern traditional). Needs some SPA, but otherwise well built with heft. The hafts are smooth as silk. It could be celluloid, but feels like wood.

Last curtain call for now. Mike’s Challenge 1-XL LF.

As long as there isn't a shortage of Mountain Dew ("Real" or Generic) or other good tasting beverage ("good tasting" eliminates coffee, IMHO) that has a high dosage of the caffeine vitamin, and chewing tobacco for the nicotine vitamin, I'll "survive". :)

(The "coffee" (note quotes) served here is a "Why Bother?" decaf, anyway.)
My vitamin N stock is much better than my tp stock. About 50 cans in the fridge.

Congrats on the par game! Just reread your post, Frisbee golf, COOOOL. :)
Glad to hear you didn't hit the beaver.
I like that knife you have there too. M&G 78? Whatever it is, it's a gorgeous knife.

Thank you Cutfinger. You nailed it, a M&G 78 Yankee Whittler. Three useful blades, GEC 78, built like a tank, I really like it.

Disc golf is good exercise and always fun. I throw a frisbee to a black lab most mornings, so not much of a stretch. I’m nowhere near a par player, just happened to par that particular hole after almost whacking a beaver. I end up in the creek a couple times a round, somehow under a road, hit power lines, the tree right in front of me, no animal is safe. Don’t really keep score, aside from tracking honors at the tee. So any par does stand out. Still a lot of fun.

Thanks very much Harvey but the bottom one is actually a #13 instead of a #62 . At one time 1 had 3 of them but I gifted one to a Grandson . My want for an Eye Witness Stag Barlow goes back to 2014 when I first saw them in my searches for Barlows . I would not spend enough and bought the Ox Horn and then a Rams Horn instead .

Harry

Stuart I hope you feel better real soon my friend! :)

Hope it subsides quickly, Stuart!
Nice knives and a great old Gibson!
Has me thinking about getting my Hummingbird out of the closet. I haven't picked it up in awhile.

Sciatica is brought on by overdoing strenuous activities such as preparing “fine cuisine” as in your picture!
Love the ‘58 LG1, buddy!!!

Hope you feel better soon, I do a couple of stretches that do wonders when mine acts up !

That's a sweet looking old LG-1 ! I'm a Martin D-18 man myself but love those old Gibsons

Thanks, guys, for the comforting condolences for my condition (had a good day today) and for the guitar compliments. It's a student guitar, just right for me (and aged like I like 'em), and it has a great tone. Steve, nice Euraka jack, pal.

I’m still at the learning stage here at the Porch, Harry. That’s an exquisite 13. My kind of Stag look. Of course your Stag collection is Primo. And so are your TEW Horn Twins. This just makes wish the Badger Show was on, safely. It would have been fun to meet you and the other. Might have ended up doing a little horse trading, too. Hopefully next year.

Ive got snow and flowers...:D

Beautiful!
I'm sure you'll soon sort them out Rachel :) I've just been doing some stropping myself

That's a fantastic pic
Thanks, Jack.

Looks like you're well-prepared JJ, what is the model on top?

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, stay safe and well  I was heading out for a walk with 'Her Majesty', but she's changed her schedule, so I thought I'd hang out here for a while  Still hoping to go for a short walk later, carrying these two for the last time this week

I always get a kick out of your "dog chew" reference; love those old EO Navy knives too, very cool!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Much thanks, JJ. What can’t you accomplish with your SA scout & soldier? Fine image, too.
Thank you kindly, Harvey; I agree, they are certainly handy fellows!:thumbsup:

Hello Old Engineer,

I love the picture of your old "Slipstick" , I wonder how many people remember and can still use them.

The knives are superb too.

Cheers.
