What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I woke up intending to go down to my hunt club to getting prep started for turkey opener in a few weeks, but a sciatica flare-up scrapped those plans quickly. Had these two, Queen #31 for Mike's GAW and a Leonard Corlee hunter, ready for travel on Fixed Blade Friday:

So it's lighter duty today, like this rare culinary use of a folder by me:

And opening a box of new strings for an old Gibson LG-1 (1958) so I can learn how to play during convalescence:

Hope you feel better soon, I do a couple of stretches that do wonders when mine acts up !

That's a sweet looking old LG-1 ! I'm a Martin D-18 man myself but love those old Gibsons

Good morning, and hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far. After a week of "knife monogamy" as @JonMcD coined it, feels kind of nice to add some variety today!

Nice pairing Mike :)

I’m just hanging around the house today with a pair of Lambsfoot favorites. Hope y’all have a blessed day! :)

Great to see those two together Ron, nice photo my friend

Old stock. We had toilet paper before having toilet paper was cool. :)

LOL! :D Yeah, me too, though contrary to the news reports here, I'm seeing plenty in the shops

Another day with the Western, plus a good ol' ebony big'un.

That looks like a great pairing Rachel

One of the most sensuous patterns Jeff. After carrying a slightly bulkier rendition by RR I found a reasonably priced viper in red. So now I'll be a fulltime straight edge guy.
Wait, what? The curvy, bellied blades cry out in outrage!
Final Day (day seven) of Mike's Challenge
It's also Pi Day, and the International Day of Mathematics...

I plan to celebrate later with a pizza. :)
I approve of all pi. Especially apple, cherry, or bluebie!:D

I still like your jigging on that Dog Chew Bone my friend . I assume that you know that the BADGER KNIFE SHOW has been CANCELED . I guess that it is the right thing to do .

Harry
Thanks for that, Harry!

Yes, I agree it’s the right call. Especially with those tight quarters and no elbow room!
We cancelled our band’s gig for next Sat, and I told my pastor we would not be in church for a while.

Just wouldn’t be...

Prudent:D

Tough decision.
I discovered Friday that all of the Rough Rider "A Stroke of Luck" series knives are sold out, making them pretty much irreplaceable without paying an outrageous dollars on the cents premium on the second hand market.
Do I keep carrying the ones I have or reserve them for special occasions, and carry something else that can be easily replaced should the worst case happen, as my EDC?
An viable argument can be made either way.

I'm very tempted to limit them to special occasions, and carry a BTI Old Timer 858OTB stockman and a BTI Old Timer 92OT(?) 94OT(?) Trapper for the stockman and trapper portion of my EDC combination.

Thanks, Jack. They could both use a good sharpening.
Flowers! I remember those.

Even though it’s snowing today, my jonquils, iris, coral bells, etc are poking up through the mulch, so it’s coming!

I would trade you some flowers for just a little bit of snow.
