What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Also toting a trapper for @Modoc ED on this Trapper Tuesday/St Patrick's Day:

Sorry to hear about your wife Vince, hope it's just a sniffle, and she's feeling right again soon  It's a shame you can't go to your son's, but I'm sure the corned beef and Guiness will be a real treat, you got cabbage too? :)
It's probably just allergies that she has, but wants to err on the side of caution.
Don't think we have cabbage. Beef and beer--what else do you need? Maybe potatoes....

Walden 8ot and an 8oty.

I got the walden in yesterday. The blades are pretty good and its tight and snaps just fine. Great user. The strange thing though is that it smelled terrible, and I mean terrible. I went through several cycles of soap and water, tried windex with ammonia, soaked it in wd40 and then set it next to an air freshener all night. It's better now but still a little smelly, so my work isn't quite done but I wanted to carry it. o_O

Absolute classics.
If you took a survey of all the guys who carried and used only one knife for years on end, the 4” Schrade Stockman would come in very high, if not #1.

The 80 yr old tree farmer for whom I worked the last 4years has one. I think it’s all he ever carried for decades ~ cutting plastic field tile, twine and rope, fuel lines, as well as dressing countless deer up at deer camp.
I picked it up from the table by his keys to inspect it, and found the main blade to be more of a sliver than a blade from years of aggressive sharpening, and it was sadly dull. I offered to take it home and sharpen it, but he declined with a horrified look on his face.:D

If I wasn't a lunatic with a bunch of knives I would probably just carry a delrin 8ot or 881 all the time and call it good.

... I'm going to carry this elderberry jigged bone 92 Eureka Jack exclusively for the next few days. It's another one that I just don't seem to grab for when I'm choosing my carries for the week. If I don't forge some kind of connection to it, I think I'll have some mods done to it.

I only made it one day with the Elderberry Eureka Jack. While I like the pattern a great deal, I just don't care for the covers.

Today I switched to the Eureka Jack that @Signalprick mod'd for me. A much better day for me!

You could go to the plumbing supply section at the hardware store and buy some potassium permanganate, or use rit dye to turn that elderberry color into merlot, black raspberry, walnut, ebony...
Any color you like.
