What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Stippled RALF is back in pocket this morning, along with a red alox Cadet.

That’s a nice Case Hornet you have there, I have one just like it except it’s about 1/2” shorter now, did something stupid and snapped the tip off but I still use it for opening boxes.

Thanks, Chuck. It has the strangest trailing point blade that I've ever seen and, boy, does it slice!

Two beautiful knives, Stuart.;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks, José. I like your small Parker. As you may know, I have one of those, and it may be your knife's brother.

LOL~ It took me a while to learn why it’s a bad idea to hang the bird feeders directly above the back deck.

I can't get Miss Norma to move the feeders ("they are easier to fill this way"), but I sure should remember to look at the rail before setting a knife (or hand) on the surface.

I decided to carry two that would make me smile today. I hope they do the same for y’all!

Made me smile, Ron, and I needed it. I was the only person in Whitlow's yesterday when they shuttered for an indeterminable period of time. Just me at the bar with a bottle of Jack Daniels and a glass of ice cubes. All the staff had been let go (and many of them, not holding US citizenship, will not get stimulus checks). The manager and the owner and I discussing other smaller restaurants that may never reopen.

Well, today is bright and sunny, so I'm taking Loki for a walk and totin' these two:

I’m glad I could make you smile Stuart! :D I know that big Stag Lockwood Brothers certainly checks all the boxes for me. You must keep that one locked up when I’m in town because I don’t remember ever looking at it in person. ;) I hate to hear about the situation at Whitlows! It’s a darn nice place to eat and bend ones elbow if so inclined! They do have some of the best staff that I’ve encountered in the DC area. Vincent is probably one of the best waiters I’ve had at any restaurant anywhere! I wish them all the best. I also wish you and Miss Norma the best during these tough times. :)

Well, I may have been born at night, but it wasn't last night. Thanks for the kind thoughts. Our best wishes to you and Miss Pam.

Thank you very much, Jack!!! I'm sure my brother would not have been too sad being stuck at Oxford, he really enjoys his friends/associates there. :)

That's quite a formidable threesome; the compass with your Hartshead Barlow is quite a stunning piece, too!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

That's good to hear JJ, I hope he's able to return to his studies soon :) Thank you, I have a small collection of pocket compasses, and that one is my favourite. It's a pre-1875 F. Barker & Son, with an English cross-bar needle, jewelled pivot, and crystal glass. Best of all I got it from a really miserable market-trader for just £9 ;) :D

These two for Thursday; a jumbo jack with it's little brother. :)

Great to see those two again my friend, I love that French Ivory, and the unusual shield on the Jumbo Jack

Thursday already, the week is flying by fast...

Great background for your knives John :)

My wife is also now officially working from home. We've got opposing work spaces setup in the living room and we'll see how this goes. Someone in our house doesn't seem to care if we're home or not. Business as usual for him ;)

Those two go together nicely Mike

Due to yesterday’s light rain, and today’s predicted thunderstorms, I decided to put a good coat of Otter Wax on the Barbour coat and boonie hat.
We decided not to work at the farm for a couple of days, so I’ve been hauling compost and mulch getting my garden beds in shape. It’s still way too early for most stuff, but I am going to plant kale and other cool weather stuff now. View attachment 1305220View attachment 1305219

Great sartorial choices Jeff, knives too

I’ve spent my time in town this morning. I didn’t really want to go, but I did. Our local store, where we do a lot of our shopping, started this morning with a Senior Shopping Hour from opening at 7am until 8am. Some of the things I was shopping for they didn’t have. No hamburger meat, potatoes or dry beans. I told one lady that I couldn’t ever in my life remember seeing no dry beans at all on the shelf. I didn’t really need it, but I did buy my two package limit of Charmin! ;) You never know! I decided to carry two that would make me smile today. I hope they do the same for y’all! Please be safe out there. :)

Certainly smiling here Ron, beautiful pair :)

Got this with me all week and certainly beyond. I've found Lambfoot knives to be very useful.

Lovely pic Bill

Sticking with my same rotation schedule as I've been using for months, even though my world seems to have changed dramatically!:rolleyes: Since it's Wednesday, I'll post some wood-clad knives I'm carrying this week.
International Knife of the Week is an olive wood Joker I bought in Valencia, Spain:

Big Knife of the Week is a MAM Iberica (I think of it as kind of a "Portuguese toothpick"):

Lambsfoot of the Week is a Jack Black SFO, the 2018 Guardians ebony lambsfoot that I call Black Jack:
