What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I decided to mix it up a little today.
I put away all the fancy and "high end" knives I was carrying.
It be time I got back to my "comfort zone", I suppose.
A (BTU) Old Timer 858OTB and Marbles MR278 "Demo Knife" are in my pocket.

A Smoke Jumper is on my belt, though I might swap it out for a standard production 110 ... it's been a few months since I carried a "regular" one ...

I guess I'll go see if I can get a nice 10 DPS edge on my Old Timer 280OT Barlow ... nuthin' better to do ... cept' maybe take a nap.

"Cabin Fever" sux.

Have a great day, y'all. :)

"ONLY" 8 eggs?!?
Sounds like the 7 hens is slacking off.
You should have the rooster give them a pep talk. :)

8 eggs is almost enough for one person's breakfast, depending on how many (large) taters were made into hashbrowns or fried mashed taters. :)
LOL! That's a BIG breakfast might be doing a lil scramble for dinner  yum.

My flock is down, usually have 15+ hens but I can tell my flock is a lot happier and healthier at 7 hens and a rooster.

Many thanks Gary :) Four really nice knives there, I just remembered that I have that same RR Sowbelly, a gift from @Humppa long ago, the bone on mine is a little lighter, but I really like it. I wish I'd kept my RR 'Half Hawk' in their smooth tobacco bone, I had a few of them, but gave them all away :) Still, I am hardly short of a knife ;)

No apologies needed, Jack; I don't always remember all of my own knives, so I can hardly expect others to remember what I have. Thanks for the good word on my trio, and congrats on a fine Good Friday trio of your own!

Thanks, again, Jack. I admire your ability to keep up with so many threads in this time of "heavy traffic" on The Porch!
I always enjoy seeing some Jack Black black jacks!

Jack, when I posted those knives, I didn't realize it, but your quoting the post, mentioning "tough times", and addressing Taylor right after your remark to me, I suddenly noticed the coincidence: Tinker, Taylor, Soldier, Sailor (a navy demo knife?). That reminds me that I've never read Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and should request it when the libraries reopen.
3 more fine knife choices for you; are you carrying 3 each day until normalcy returns?

Thanks again buddy :) A friend of mine knows John Le Carre. I just remembered I did actually read that book, but it was a very long time ago - I saw the film more recently ;) I'm kind of enjoying some of my fixed-blades. You know, a few decades back FBs were probably 90% of knife collecting. I used to have a lot more than I have now, as I have given a lot away, but I still have a fair few ;) When I was a kid, I was never without a sheath knife on my belt, but the law here now, it kind of stinks - not illegal to carry, but don't get caught with one o_O

I like that Fox knife, don't think I've seen one before

I keep coming back for another look at your old fixed blade. Captivated.

It may have been intended as a cigar fork, but they look perfect for getting sardines out of the can:D

Thank you Jeff :) That one was definitely intended for eating sausages :) I forgot about this small one I have, made by MAM in Portugal, I actually carry it a fair bit it in the summer. It comes with a wee bottle opener. The idea is you open your beer, and cut and eat your hot dog or wurst of choice ;)

These two Bow Trappers. A very unique (and inexpensive) offering from Rough Ryder, this one. Kind of like a large Saddlehorn. The yellow is in their “classic carbon,” the brown “Tobacco Road” bone is stainless and, interestingly, has half stops while the other doesn’t. These are full-sized and I didn’t carry them at the same time! It’s crazy how well-made and well-finished these knives are for the price.
