What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

WOW...outstanding “bone work” on both of those, the jigging and saw cut(ting) is spectacular!!!
Triple espresso number two, time to quit fiddling with knives and get to work.

Thank you kindly, Mark!!!
Great way to start your day with some tasty "go go" juice and a very sweet slicer!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Sorry for you and your family's loss...
Thank you JJ. Your Case has such fabulous jigging. The sawcut with it’s non uniform lines and the swelling of the bolster, make for a top drawer carry.
Thank you very much, Harvey!!!

Two wonderful beauties you have today; the covers on both the pen and the lamb are amazing!:D:thumbsup::thumbsup: BTW, I didn't miss your cool old camera from Wetzlar, DE, home of the finest lenses in the world (i.e. Leica/Leitz/Panavision-Primo!!! :)):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Since they just arrived yesterday (Friday) a (BTI) Old Timer 858OT and MAM "Operario" friction folder will join my Marbles MR278 Demo knife in my pocket.
The MR278 is has a new 30 inch wallet chain lanyard connected to the bail. :) (the new lanyard also arrived on Friday.)

Nanc and I along with our two boys said goodbye to our Babygirl today, aka Harley. She was 10 years young, she was also the runt of the litter and fought for everything she got. She was as sweet and kind as could be but you'd swear there was a Doberman in our house if you heard her bark:eek: she was fiercely protective. About ten days ago symptoms started to show, loss of appetite, tired and lethargic which is everything she wasn't. We doctored with the Vet over that time and simply put her immune system was shutting down. During the last ten days she never even uttered a simple cry. She was in the game until the very end. The hole in our hearts is offset with a lifetime of wonderful memories:thumbsup: She truly was our Babygirl:)

I'm very sorry to read this. I hate these moments. I have had to do this a few times. I have said nothing to the family before, to keep this burden for me . It's very hard . I'm very sorry for your loss.

On a cloudy day, I'm carrying my Case small Texas Jack and my Sheffield made ring knife (Thank you Jack Black Jack Black ).View attachment 1340111

Nice to see that Ring-Opener Dean, I'd completely forgotten about it :)

Thanks, Jack. :)
I figured it was about time the cheap knives, you know we all got 'em, got a little love during the week.

Definitely mate :)

Great scene. Shows you why Pop Tarts are perfect for when things need to move quickly.:D. Great images, especially your cool Shuttle.

LOL! :D Thanks Harvey :)

Stunning Lambsfoot pic, and that Bruckman is a nice little knife too :)

I had a routine Dr’s appointment today, so l went lite.

Hope your appointment went OK Chuck

I don't know, but I care! :)
That's a nice example you have. I found one just like that when I was about 13 years old, and carried it in my pocket every day through high school and college. It has some cracks, but hasn't shrunk or out-gassed yet.

As you can see, I had no finesse when it came to sharpening back then, but I wouldn't dream of buffing out those scratches. I'm too sentimental. ;)

Nice to see that Rachel :)

Thank you very much, Jack!

Really like your "quirky" three for today; that excellent sci fi graphic is a very cool highlight to your "shuttle lamb," as well!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks a lot JJ, the Shuttle Lamb was a kind gift from sci-fi fan @JohnDF :) D.R. and Quinch are the baddest teenagers in the universe! :D

Going with this pair of Case jacks today. :)

Absolutely beautiful pair JJ

Big Knife of the Week is a Cold Steel Kudu (that I bought before I realized I could actually buy a genuine Okapi instead of this "tribute knife");

Watch your fingers with that Kudu GT! ;)

Beauty’s in the eye of the beholder! These beauties are definitely hard workers! A TEW Lambsfoot and a Schrade NY USA 804 Whittler. Hopefully I’ll be getting a load of pressure treated Yellerwood today. If not, it better be here tomorrow or I’ll probably be just a tad aggravated! Y’all have a great day! :)

Fine pair Ron, hope your delivery came OK

Today marks the anniversary of the last battle of ww2 fought in Europe, with which the war was finally over in my country as well. So I thought this one would be appropriate.

Very sad to learn of your loss Paul, that's a real shame :( It doesn't seem like two minutes since your pal BuddyBoy passed away :( My mate lost his faithful companion Molly the other day, after 18 good and healthy years, thankfully a quick end. She could have been related to your Babygirl :( Hope time is a healer my friend

A couple of dark beauties for me today.

@paulhilborn, sincere sympathies to you and yours after the passing of your dear dog Harley. Glad you could already celebrate some of the fond memories with the family! :) I wish dogs and humans had more equal lifespans.

My condolences, @paulhilborn. Please take comfort in knowing that you gave her a good life. (my friends joke that if there were such a thing as reincarnation, how good would we have to be to come back as one of our pets)
Nice to see that Rachel :)
Thanks, Jack. It amazes me that I didn't lose that little knife on any of my youthful misadventures.
Watch your fingers with that Kudu GT! ;)
I agree with Jack, 5K Qs 5K Qs . I was looking at one of those in a store some years back. I couldn't get it closed and handed it to my friend to try, who proceeded to slice his hand pretty badly. (and then he was mad at me, for some reason)

I think I'll carry these two again today, since they're still sitting out on the desk from earlier in the week.
