What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It's been about 3 weeks with the little Buck lancer and I've been so happy with it, but it's time to switch it up.

Back to the Texas Jack again. It's not perfect but it does check more boxes than anything else, if it were closer to peanut sized it might check them all and then I'd really be in trouble ;)

Hope everyone is having a pleasant weekend, and that you have a relaxing and peaceful Sunday :) Rather dull here today, but I have penty to do indoors, and my pal is coming round with his eldest lad later, so I can give him his birthday presents in the garden (he can unwrap them while me and his dad have a beer ;) ) Going fancy today, my Jack Black Knives U1 (serial number 001 of course), Charlie @waynorth 's Black Jack, and one of my SFO Lambsfoot Damascus folders with Desert Ironwood covers :)

Jack my apologies for not commenting yesterday Jack! I don’t recall seeing one your Jack Black knives before. It’s a great looking fixed blade. From reading your comments it must have been extremely well made and very durable! :)

No rest for the weary mate ;) Sounds like you're thriving Ron! :D
You are right my friend! Been back at it between rain showers today! ;(

Today this guy actually goes to work after sitting lazily in its box for 49 years. A little filtz on a rag brought it back to factory new condition so today for me will be like going into a hardware store in 1971, slapping down my cash and putting a brand new knife into my pocket! Sorry for the long winded post and all the photos but I’m kinda excited...View attachment 1341668View attachment 1341669View attachment 1341670View attachment 1341671View attachment 1341672
That a beautiful knife Clay. I know it means every so much more to you because of your love for the Bucks! :)

I am over the affliction now Jeff . I have 3 in my pocket now to make up for it .
A couple of Russells

And my Feel Good Arno Bernard

Three lookers there my friend! :D

Hope everyone had a great weekend, and that your week gets off to a good start  I got clobbered with a pile of work, but that can happen any day of the week  Better get on, toting these three today, 2017 Guardians Lambsfoot in Super-Duper horn (should have trademarked that phrase), Ray Smith Barlow in Mammoth (an extremely kind gift from @Bladeplay74 ), and a Schrade Uncle Henry Bear Paw LB7

Three great ones there Jack! :)

In different circumstances I might have! :D He might have set out to destroy the knife, but it passed with flying colours, much to his surprise I think, and he gave it an honest write-up. He didn't ask to keep the knife, but was very pleased when I told him I'd get the blade re-polished, and send it to him :) I have to say, his 'testing' might have been abusive, but absolutely nothing compared to the destructive tests I put the knife through myself  We even had to adapt a tool, so I could bend the blade to a 45 degree angle, and then hammer it back!

Thanks buddy
Wow! That was quite a torture test Jack!

Working from the church offices for the first time in 10 weeks. Only had one zoom meeting today. Ahhhhhhh. Only downside, I don’t have all my knives here to fidget with. Had to supplement with a fidget cube.

Very nice photo! :)

Thanks Ron,
It really was a pretty cool feeling. I’ve carried a lot of them in like new condition but this was the the first time in over 30 years I took a new one from the box and slipped it into my pocket.
These old Camillus Bucks just speak to me like no other knife ever has.
