What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks cj65!

4ever3,

I wasn't going to make fun. Actually, I was going to compliment you on your choice of nice old knives and of course, on your baby smooth hands. ;)

Today it's this Queen made Winchester sowbelly stockman

Just picked up a Case Medium Congress this week so I thought I would take it out for a spin today. Not sure it will ever replace my first love, the Trapper pattern, but it's a nice looking little knife and rides in the pocket a little better than the larger Trappers do.

I have an old delrin-handled Case Barlow in my pocket today. All its "edges" and corners are rounded off...very pocket worn. Both of its carbon steel blades are sharp and ready to work!

Nice knives here as usual one and all. :)

Here is one I have now used and put on my belt quite early this morning before the sun rise on a trip out fishing.. She is hand made by my friend who lives way up in the northwestern part of Sweden, by our very own Nirre Bosse.

Case Wharncliffe Copperhead (CV, red bone) today. Sliced some string to tie up the Chateaubriand (that's a small tenderloin roast, don't ya know. Not exactly traditional Easter fare, but there was a good deal on tenderloin.)

Rick Menefee came to my home this week for a visit, He is a very enjoyable man to speak with, a really down to earth person with a great sense of Oklahoma Humor. I told him his knives were getting better, and that is Ricks greatest goal in his knife making to do his best....

I relayed to him he would succeed in his knife making as his attitude is in the right place for that to happen....

Great example you have there Vince.. Congrats..

Nice Holidays to All.........

That's a sweet Menefee Vince.

Today I'm carrying this Case 32087 CV that I picked up yesterday at my local hardware store. It's a dandy little pen knife with lots of usable blade for a piece this size (about 3 & 3/8" closed).

I was disappointed to learn that this version of the knife has been discontinued in favor of a one-hand opener. Oh well, roll with the times, I ordered one of the new ones today, too...

That right there is the best example of Rick's work. That is just gorgeous stag and the blade shape and size is perfect. Man I am extremly envious right now. Great score there.

My new 110!
As to the Vic Soldier comment, you can still get the same selection of blades in the Pioneer. However, they discontinued the knife, which is annoying, as I like the no lanyard and odd shield look.
