That is a quality bonestag. I love the darker, caramel color. Too many of Case’s bonestag’s are washed out. You got a gem sir!

The patina makes the blade look rough but it's smooth and sharp as a scalpel I have had a ton of these old Red Bone Case Barlows over the years and either given them away or traded them off or sold them don't know why they are great knives and I really like them.

I had the opportunity to shoot in a double sporting clays tournament today. 100 targets this morning and another 100 this afternoon. It was held at a very well manicured and maintained course. I had my trusty Viper along for the day and absolutely no cutting task appeared. Bummer! Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

Thanks! I am very happy with this one and I totally agree that the quality varies a lot. I found an eBay seller who posted pictures of the actual knives they were selling and then stalked them for weeks until I found exactly the one I wanted!
