What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I don't often comment on Modern Traditionals...
But those saw cut bone slabs!!! Where'd those come from???

I'm still playing catch-up here. :(
Thank you Gary and congrats on your success as well. It’s a tough beast to beat.
Thanks, Clay. :)

Totin' a KeenKutter cattle and a Camillus 72 today.

Holy Grails, Steve! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thank you for all of these kind comments, Gary! Regarding Case Barlows, I have 5 of the 2019 issues. :)
5 impressive ones, Dean, a handful to be proud of! :):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Striking black/red combo on the rock! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

I'm totin' this one for TC Tuesday.

I always enjoy your pics with that pond in the background, Dean! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

A duo to dream of, José! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Magnificent Moki!! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

That’s a good looking Soldier, Gary, especially for one 34 years old. :thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks, Dean. :) I'm twice as old as that Soldier and don't look half as good. :rolleyes:

Still carrying my Father’s Day knife.... I missus the sheepsfoot of my stockman greatly..... however seeing my 5 year olds eyes beam when daddy pulls out the “fancy knife” he picked out himself...... my word.

View attachment 1378191
You're a good Dad! :):thumbsup::thumbsup: (Maybe you could carry the stockman as a backup for when the sheepsfoot is truly the best blade for the job. ;))

I really like your foursome today; hard to beat 3 out of 4 being scouts with a Laguiole chaser!:D:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks, JJ. :) With 3 of my categories in my weekly allocation of knives being Alox and non-aloe SAK and bailed non-SAK, I get 3 scouts many weeks! :rolleyes:
Your ebony Laguiole is the epitome of elegance!! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

I’ve been carrying this No. 7 almost exclusively for a week, which is a bit unusual for me. It may not be fancy, but it gets the job done. :thumbsup:
For most of the cutting jobs I encounter, an Opinel probably does the job at least as well as any other knife. :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Jack, that's an appealing pic of your rosewood HHB backed by amber waves of grain! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Today in my pocket with Veríssimo (Portugal) in stag.;):thumbsup:

Charismatic knife, José! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Versatile threesome, Chuck! :thumbsup::cool::cool: (I've never handled a Russlock.)

Cool! Love the green.
Thanks, Harvey. :)

To paraphrase a courtroom oath, that's the knife, the whole knife, and nothing but the knife, Dean! :thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

Voos again today, probably rest of the week:cool::thumbsup:
Along with my bullbuster
Room for one more on the Voos train?
wBHOCOq.jpg
I love it when the Voos come in twoos! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Another newb to the forum - seems like a good a place as any to start posting.

Not new to knives. Had nothing but traditionals years ago, but after knives going missing during moves, I bit on the tactical bug for a while (several decades). Over the last year I started replacing tactical types with traditionals and modern traditionals.

Belated welcome to The Porch, sir! :):cool::cool:

This one for me today.

Love the sunshine that sowbelly stockman provides, Dylan! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Have these two thrifty swayback totes from Hammer Brand/Imperial, made in the late 1930s. :)
I got a heat wave burnin' in my heart!! :eek:;):thumbsup:

Lot of GEC 15s knocking about lately, hardly surprising as they offer a lot of blade options/styles :cool:
Not meaning to catch the bandwagon ;) but for some time this 'special' version of the 15 is going to preside over my pocket.

Congrats on the majestic ram's horn spear, Will!! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Splendid thrifty sowbelly stockman, Jack! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Nice pairing Jack! I’ve always admired the covers on that model of RR Sowbelly. Gary 5K Qs 5K Qs has a great example! Have a good one! :) :thumbsup:
Thanks for the comment, Ron. :) You must have a good memory!

Classic, ED! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Congrats on the new jack, Steve! Some joy-inducing jigging in that pair! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

That is a quality quartet, Gary; I particularly like the RR armor hide canoe! :thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks, Dean. :)

Today on my hike I carried my favorite Barlow (and avatar), Charlie's most excellent Ancient TC. I also had my Canada silver dollar with me. :D

Is that a birth year dollar for you? Very cool coin! :cool::cool:

What a cool looking knife, GT.
Thanks, Harvey. :)

Thank you John. I don’t remember the name of the maker, but I bought the covers, because of their look.

That's a bewitching lambsfoot/spear pair, Harvey! :cool::thumbsup::cool:
Thank you GT.

The covers on both your knives look good enough to eat, Harvey! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
Thank you again in, GT.:)

btb01 btb01 Thank you Barrett. That's an amazing Spear, Jigged Wood?

Regards, Will

Thanks, Will. I’ve always liked that broad spearpoint blade on the #85. :thumbsup:

Thanks Barrett, it didn't stop me slipping an extra Winchester Moose in my pocket, just in case :rolleyes: :D Carrying it again today :) :thumbsup:

Boy, you slip away for a couple of hours! :eek: It's taken me the entire morning to catch up here, and with the Guardians thread! :rolleyes: Hope everyone had a great weekend, and that your week gets off to a good start :thumbsup:

You can never be too prepared, Jack. :D The reflection on those polished blades make your Winchester look camouflaged. Reminds me of something…

Old "Flipper Bait" for Micarta Monday

Fantastic! :D

Nice photo Barrett! :thumbsup: “Leave it to Beaver Tail”! ;) :D

Thanks, Ron!

A fine looking pair today, my friend. I like that moose - it's fitting, considering one of my carries today.

What a beautiful pairing Dylan! :thumbsup: :D

With triple digit heat indexes I’m staying inside again this morning! :( The heat is getting harder for this ole man to tolerate! :rolleyes: I’ve got this pairing out of the drawer to spend some time with today. :thumbsup: I hope y’all will stay safe out there! :)

Thank you, Ron! That is a fine looking duo you have today - that Northfield (pattern escapes me at the moment) is stunning.

I love that Joseph Rogers lamb, Harvey, and those Sawcut covers on your Euro Barlow are fantastic!

Love the sunshine that sowbelly stockman provides, Dylan! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thank you, GT!

These two for me today - a recently acquired Nessmuk and a M&G Yankee Whittler.
