What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I don’t think he’s making scales anymore. I’m pretty sure he is making custom knives full time now. He makes some really nice looking knives.
He makes beautiful knives, which is why I jumped at the chance when a seller just wanted to sell the covers.

Those are two smart lookin' jacks, r8shell. The Keen kutter is the knife I wish I could still buy at almost any hardware store, like we used to be able to.
A spear/pen jack is my favourite knife. :)

I sure like those two! Very nice. OH
Thank you very much, Bruce!!!
Many thanks JJ :) Yes, Ironwood :)
Super-useful pair my friend :)
Gorgeous pair of Jacks JJ, great way to start the week
There is something uniquely wonderful in the ironwood grain!!! Thank you very kindly, Jack!!!
Boy, you slip away for a couple of hours! It's taken me the entire morning to catch up here, and with the Guardians thread! Hope everyone had a great weekend, and that your week gets off to a good start

What an outstanding pairing; an extraordinarily classic lamb from Sheffield's golden age and a modern Barlow with the coolest covers I've yet seen on that model!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks, JJ. :) With 3 of my categories in my weekly allocation of knives being Alox and non-aloe SAK and bailed non-SAK, I get 3 scouts many weeks!
Your ebony Laguiole is the epitome of elegance!!:cool::thumbsup:
Thank you Gary!!! You always have such a great variety, even when they are mostly scouts!;):thumbsup:
I got a heat wave burnin' in my heart!!;)
Thanks for the huge grin!!!:D:D:thumbsup:

Thank you Jack. Glad to hear your Sunday was so delightful.

Thanks Harvey, a little sunshine really makes a difference :)

I love everything about your Rodgers Lambsfoot my friend :)

Knife Knuts Heaven indeed Jack! ;) Got a nap, got the AC on (it’s struggling ), feet are up. :D Thanks for the compliment Jack! I cleaned the patina off of three knives (including one big’un), included a proper lube job on each one. Now I’m waiting for my lovely wife to get home from work so we can cook up a good fresh vegetable meal! All in all it’s been a good day! :D

That sounds wonderful Ron, I hope you have an equally good day today :) I was up at 4.30am, so I might be having a nap later myself ;)

Jack, that's an appealing pic of your rosewood HHB backed by amber waves of grain!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you Gary, I just realised how similar it is to the photo I just posted in the Guardians thread today - different knife, different place, different time, but it still has that stray stem of grass I didn't notice when I took the pic  Thank you for your Herculean posting efforts

Great shot of the Washington & Washington St. sign. And thank you.

Thanks Dean, Sheffield doesn't have a Washinton Street, so that one took a little finding ;)

You can never be too prepared, Jack. :D The reflection on those polished blades make your Winchester look camouflaged. Reminds me of something…

Very true Barrett ;) I wore braces (suspenders) AND a belt! :D LOL! :D Those polished blades and bolsters make it difficult to photograph :D

Thank you, Jack!

A fine looking pair today, my friend. I like that moose - it's fitting, considering one of my carries today.

...

These two for me today - a recently acquired Nessmuk and a M&G Yankee Whittler.

Many thanks Dylan, I was admiring your Nessmuk earlier in the FB thread, looks great  Lovely Yankee Whittler too :)

Thank you very much JJ, I had a really nice hike, thank you, my friend :)

Hope everyone's week is going well, so far. Carrying my regular pocket-hogging Hartshead Barlow again today, together with my Random Tuesday blind-grab! :D

Looking good, Paul! Nice patina, and I’m jealous of your EO notch. :D Did you Ready Seal your deck again recently? ;)

Very true Barrett ;) I wore braces (suspenders) AND a belt! :D LOL! :D Those polished blades and bolsters make it difficult to photograph :D

Photographing polished blades can be a pain, constantly fighting against the reflections.

Less of an issue for you handsome young fellers! ;) :D

An Oregonian tote for today from the good folks at GEC. :)

Beautiful swedge on that knife JJ, and it looks like a solid user

Me and the huckleberry hound picked some blueberries and huckleberries and made some corn bread with them.

anyone know why I can’t post my pictures direct anymore with Imgur?

Nice pics Pete :) That's strange, maybe just try logging out, and logging back in again? I just uploaded the first one to my Imgur account, no problem

I should have had a hawkbill along yesterday, but the sheepfoot on the stockman filled in nicely. A good cleaning, edge touch-up, and some mineral oil, and it’s ready for more.

Yesterday was our last day with our 4 year old grandson:(. (At least until next time!)
Put him in the wagon behind my tractor, and went mosquito feeding and berry scouting around the pond. We lucked into some ripe wild gooseberries.
I know I’ll have good memories, I sure hope he will.:)
