What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

A gift from @paulhilborn I think the Bullnose is arguably the best Sodbuster type knife out there.

When it comes to size, blade shape and steel (D2), I think the Queen Country Cousin is tops. The only negative in my experience is all the delrin handled versions I have had came with blade play. I had one micarta handled knife that didn't, the pull was heavier on that guy though. I gifted that knife away. Silly me.

Sounds like the good life to me. Tractor, family, sharp things, check check check.

Love that yellow 293. Great pattern. I’ve got to hunt a good one to add to my stash. Have a great one!
Thanks, and I agree~ the 293 is mighty fine!
Thanks Barrett and I did. I clean and stained my deck in April:thumbsup:
Wow~ I read this as you cleaned and strained your back in April!
That’s one good reason to shower with your wife- she can soap your back.

Mighty pretty Trapper!

@5K Qs ~ thanks for your kind comments and info on your Blak Jaket!

You make every knife look good. So good, I made an analogy:

Proportion of Harvey's photography consumption : proportion of appreciation of appearance of knives :: proportion of alcohol consumption : appreciation of human appearance.
Thank you for the kind words, Joshua. Also appreciate the analogy.:)

btb01 btb01 Thank you Barrett. That's an amazing Spear, Jigged Wood?

Regards, Will

Sorry, Will, I just realized that I quoted this yesterday but failed to answer your question! Yes, it’s jigged Brazilian cherry.

Good morning everyone! It’s Tuesday and the heat index is only going to be 105F today! Whoa what a relief it is! I’m carrying my Wright’s Rosewood big ’un Lambsfoot. For random Tuesday I “opened the drawer and pulled out” this Tidioute #92 Talon with Goldenrod Jigged Bone from 2014. Y’all stay safe out there! :)

Stay cool, Ron! The high today here in MN is 78°. :D

I agree, Randy, I love the Bull Nose (it’s larger cousin, the #21 Bull Buster, ain’t too shabby, either).

For Tidioute Trapper Tuesday

That’s a fine looking knife, John. I was going to ask if it was a #73 (a pattern I’m not that experienced with), but subsequent comments answered the question for me. :D

Thanks, Barrett. :)
Yes, it's a #73 Liner Lock.
Solid Man's knife with a good #7 pull.
My Boys would call it a #10 and ask for a different knife. :D

That’s funny! :D I actually do have one #73 LL, but someone at the factory put mine together backwards! ;) (Shown here with a #74.)

I was hoping they’d follow up this new run of #23’s with some new #73’s, but it doesn’t sound like that’s the plan.

I do miss the old knife card displays. You could find them next to almost every cash register in almost every store and diner. The good 'ol days.
I remember. Between the chewing gum and the "unbreakable" combs. ;) Of course those little Jacks didn't have fancy ebony wood, but they were still nifty.

You are just joking right? That is a left handed knife isn’t it?
