That's how I always open them. I am right handed and keep my knives in my left front pocket (when I wear a belt sheath, it's on the right side).But, I'm naively puzzled by this leftie perspectiveI open my pocket knives by holding the knife in the right hand, blade opened with the left thumb, always.
