What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Impressive :thumbsup:
Thank you, Jack :)

Couple of biggies for me today
Hope you're wearing your braces. ;)

I open my pocket knives by holding the knife in the right hand, blade opened with the left thumb, always. Do lefties open knives by holding them in the left hand opening the blade with right thumb?
Right handed person here. I hold the knife in my left and open with my right.

Will, you might be interested in this old thread that documents the variety of ways that people use to open pocket knives: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/how-many-ways-do-you-open-a-slipjoint.1245274/
Thank, GT. I bookmarked it for later reading.

That's a jewel. :cool::thumbsup:

OO #73 Brother. :cool::thumbsup:

The 73 is a wonderful knife and comes with lots of different and very desirable scale options; fine Stag amongst them; too bad they don't do another run soon. The bone on that example is fantastic, and for a work-knife the liner lock in addition to the heavy spring make for confidence when cutting clingy materials -rubber hose, plastics etc.

I totally agree with you about the #73’s Will. ;) They are great knives! :thumbsup: I’m right handed and I open my knives exactly the same way as you described my friend! :D :thumbsup:

Nicely paired Ron :thumbsup:
Thank you Jack! :) :thumbsup:

OO #73 Brother. :cool::thumbsup:
Thanks John! :cool: :thumbsup:

But, I'm naively puzzled by this leftie perspective :confused: I open my pocket knives by holding the knife in the right hand, blade opened with the left thumb, always.
That's how I always open them. I am right handed and keep my knives in my left front pocket (when I wear a belt sheath, it's on the right side).

Still on this....

A 303 is always a great travel companion. :thumbsup::thumbsup: Have a safe and enjoyable trip.
Ready for anything! :cool:

Thank you, Jack. It was originally clad in black plastic, but @Markesharp recovered it in ebony. He replaced some celluloid with pretty orange bone on this little Keen Kutter, too.
