Today was July 22nd, which means I was carrying Eleanor’s Nifebrite #71 Bull Nose.

I had this knife with me when she was born four years ago (she was very punctual, and showed up right on her due date).

Now I carry it on her birthday every year (and any other day Eleanor has something special going on).

I’ve also made it a tradition to take a photo of Eleanor holding her knife on her birthday, which I enjoy getting to share with y’all. Here she is on her first birthday:

And her second (which was her least cooperative birthday when it came to having her photo taken with her knife :D):

This was on her third birthday last year:

This year’s birthday was a pretty low key affair with everything going on, but we still had a great day.

BEST POST OF THE DAY:cool::cool::cool:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELANOR, from Paul, Nancy, Mocha and Hank:) Your a very special girl:thumbsup:

With me today. If I can slice a tomato my knife is sharp enough. That said, my Lloyd needs a stropping...

Same for me these days Gary :) Looks like you've taken to your new Nessmi :)

Great-looking trio Chuck, is the bottom knife a Violon?

That's a GEC Churchill. It is two blades; long and short, broad and narrow, curved edge and straight-edged. Pretty nice arrangement. the secondary is a coping rather than pen, though.

Classy choice my friend

Don't take me so seriously! I know lots of smart people that buy lottery tickets. I just don't want to pay a voluntary tax! :p

I'm not smart enough to buy a ticket! :( They introduced a national lottery here in 1995, and having never bought one, I really wouldn't know how to go about it. From what I see, standing in line at the newsagent, there seems to be a lot more to it than saying, "One lottery ticket please!"

"Premium canoe" this week is a Böker Beer Barrel Canoe:

Thanks. It's growing on me; I had some psychological issues with it for a while.

Publisher's Clearing House! It's free, and online you don't have to paw through a lot of flyers to find stickers.

I used the small blade yesterday to scrape off a tiny biting bug that wouldn't brush off. I hope it was a tiny fly and not a tick. It would have been a long climb for a tick to get to the outside of my wrist. Anyway, I'll keep an eye out for the circular rash that apparently only sometimes appears with Lyme's disease.

Take care. I live in tick's land, a forest growing up on a bog. The first time i've had those circular rash i'd been biten on the back part of a shoulder. Ticks are good climbers. That said, not all ticks transmit the disease. Keep an eye on any redness which could appear near the bite. Antibiotics solve easily the problem.

At least the outside of my wrist is an easily observable spot.
I'm hoping it's that little fly that digs in and hangs on, but we'll see.

We have a saying here, " if it's not removed by wiping it, then it's a tick". If you still have the red spot after two or three days then better is to ask for the advice of a doctor. I don't want to fear you, i just speak from experience.

Jack Black Jack Black Great-looking trio Chuck, is the bottom knife a Violon?

Jack yes that is a Violon (Violin) knife that I won in @lambertiana 20 years on BF GAW.

I am really pleased with knife and have already found a great use for it.

I have hand tremors and I have a hard time at restaurants using flimsy flatware so I take my own. I never had a knife that went along just used whatever was in my pockets. Now I have a knife with good heft to it to go along with my fork and spoon, plus it is better than any steak knife from a restaurant,
