What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

For the first time I can recall in...a year? Two? I pocketed only my cheerful little Cadet and didn't accompany it with a modern folder. I'd forgotten the simple pleasure of a small, slim, light knife that gets dropped in my RFP and forgotten until it's needed. :D:thumbsup:
<snip>

If I had no choice and had to go down to just one one smaller knife, I wouldn't feel bad about pocketing just an Alox Cadet.

And such a bright and colorful blue - I think I would fall for that one too. OH

"There is no perfect SAK"...but the Alox Cadet comes pretty close in my book. :) Any time I think someone might enjoy a SAK as a gift, it's usually the Cadet or the Rambler that winds up going in the box.

Starting it of with these two. A Case Tribal Lock with Pocket Worn Whiskey Bone and CV, also my Wright’s Rosewood big’un Lambsfoot. Y’all be safe out there! :)

Great start to the week Ron

These two pair nicely together and have become good friends

Very nice indeed John :)

Thanks Jack. Your ebony gunstock looks great. Such a nice pattern.

Many thanks Dave, a kind gift from @Campbellclanman :)

same here, a few were early, I have a few bushes outside the fenced part of my garden that I’m experimenting with fertilizing them with fish fertilizer to see if I can get a better yield and better fruit than the others that I didn’t fertilize.
still can’t get my image to show just the link?

Wanted to add a picture of our newest family member, a Queensland Blue Heeler, Jasper he’s a good pup and is fitting in nicely.

Let us know how you go on Pete, I've never put anything on mine, just rip the bindweed off them a couple of times a year o_O Congratulations on the new pup :) Sorry you're still having trouble with Imgur :(

Started the day with a hearty breakfast and headed out for a walk with my wife. Had the Nessmi and a Norfolk with me. I've been pairing this Nessmi with every pocket knife I like to carry. It's still checking the boxes for me. I can beat it up a little as it was not an expensive knife. I like it a lot!

It's one hot day here, and as we were about half way through our regular neighborhood route a text message arrives stating that there's a power outage in our area. I looked at my wife and and asked if she had a house key with her, I don't carry one myself. No she doesn't. Do you have the fob to the car we park in the driveway, that has a house key in the glovebox? No she doesn't. OK, if our power is out we're locked out with no way to get in our house. That'll be interesting. I pull out the smartphone, open the automatic garage door app and hopefully touch the open button. As we rounded the corner approaching home we could see the garage door was open, so the power was on. We did lose it for a short while 30 minutes later. It's back on now, hopefully it'll stay that way.
I guess I better hide a key somewhere outside .... :)

Great-looking breakfast Gary, and a sweet pair of knives :) I'm sure glad you managed to get in the house OK

I totally get it, Vince! I used to carry a keyring, with all the necessary every day keys, but since retiring and driving two cars that have the fob starter pushbutton (that was a learning curve), I just avoid keys. One less thing in the pockets. Knives, wallet, smartphone and grab a fob on the way out the door, and I'm good to go.

Since locking myself out a few months back, I've had my keys firmly clipped to my belt ever since! :D I once had a job that required me to carry 2 bunches of keys, wore out the pockets of a good leather jacket o_O Since then, I've kept my keys to a minimum. Currently it's 3, but I've been as low as one. I've liked it most when I haven't had to carry any, like in the days when we left our doors unlocked

Thanks a lot, Jack!!!

The ebony covered gunstock really goes well with your Hartshead; a pair of very stout fellows!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Toting these two jacks for today; a 1920s-30s Keen Kutter Barlow and a GEC Eureka. :)

Thank you very much JJ, nice choice of Monday Jacks, that Keen Kutter is a peach :)

You guys need to move to the country... I never lock my house.
We probably don't need to be so cautious. We haven't had any trouble here in 30+ years.
I blame it on the 30+ years I spent as an electronic security and protection systems contractor.
I guess I practice what I preached. Needless to say, we have a pretty safe and secure home.
