What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

What is the folder on the bottom? A 23? I cannot find this one and have seen it in a few pictures.

Not my pic or knife but I'll answer. The folder is a GEC23LL special factory order with mesquite wood handles. In my opinion the best option of the run, wish I could have got one but missed out.

Nice trio Jeff, especially the High Carbon !

Thanks, buddy, and your pair rocks!
The pruner is precious.

Today Im carrying a Buck 118 Personal. I pulled it out yesterday and found rust! I used it for some sort of dirty job last time I used it I guess, and I didnt clean it up. So I cleaned off the rust spot (I sure am glad it was a stainless knife I forgot to clean!) and Ive been carrying it to make up for the abuse lol.

Yessir. Stainless doesn’t mean stainfree, does it?
I’ve always liked the looks of the Buck Personal. I have the Woodsman, which is a very fine knife, and about the same size. Of course, I had to get a little wiser, aka: older, before I began to appreciate the smaller fixed blades.

Alright, this 33 Conductor absolutely is cool!

And your photo shows it off well. They’ve packed a nice sized main blade in that frame, and they did a great job with the bone.

Haha nope, it doesnt. I looked at that knife like it was an alien in my house, I was dumbfounded. I actually thought it was something stuck on the knife, not rust. I havent rusted anything in a long time, I was taught better than that, but I guess I took it for granted that it was "stainless, itll be just fine for a while without cleaning" haha.
I thought about picking up a 105 recently, I like the looks of them and I think itd make a great hunting knife (though I wonder if it would have that same awesome cutting geometry that my 118 does, it might be a bit thicker?). I will probably get one when the Buck Factory opens up for tours again (I live pretty close, but Covid messed up my chance to tour the place) :(

Yes indeed my friend :) Thank you for the kind words, that's actually Rosewood on my Barlow :)

Have these two wood covered lock-backs with me today; a fairly fancy Frenchman and a rough and tumble American. :)

Those two go together very well JJ, an imaginative pairing that works :)
