I've been admiring those Rem/Buck knives. The prices have kept me from purchasing but that doesn't stop me from admiring them.:thumbsup:

What a great way to spend a Sunday, so peaceful.:thumbsup:

I've always admired guys that just strike out on long hikes in the mountains.
I've never been much of a long hike person, my asthma curtailed such activities from a very young age.
I've always been jealous of the serenity you guys must feel being deep in the mountains by yourself, taking in all it's majesty.
I explore the mountains in my Jeep and do manage to go on shorter 2 or 3 mile hikes. I live for those times that invigorate the soul.

Love that knife, even more than those pristine Barlows you show us.:thumbsup:

Thanks John, but we were definitely not alone!! Our trails, lakes and parks are insanely packed right now. Between more people not working or just being fed up with restrictions, they are all heading for the hills. Unfortunately they are also ignoring various restrictions on usage and certain closures. There is a lake about a 10 minute drive from here that gets fairly busy on a hot day. Last Sunday when I was coming home from flyfishing I saw more vehicles and people that I have ever seen in the 28 years of living here. They were parked for miles on each side of the road, going into closed areas just to get to the water. The lake I went into yesterday has two access points that start and end at the same locations. One is a hiking trail, the other for horses, atv’s and bikes. So realistically one wouldn’t have to hike 10 miles. I walked in on the hiking trail but I brought the ATV trail out. I wanted to see what kind of condition it was in. I have a small folding kid trailer that I can tow behind my mountain bike and I thought that would be a great way to get my inflatable kayak to the lake.
