What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My notion is that Bundeswehr is the German army, rather than a company, and that within the EU they don't mark country of origin. "China" is suggestive of an unofficial homage, though.
That's what I thought, too. "Bundeswehr" was/is German for "Army". (Admittedly, I don't know a lot of German, though. Most of the German I know is food items, to be honest.)
There is a guy on you tube comparing 8 or 9 of the original military, and a couple of the civilian models, and he lists "Bundeswehr" as one of the companies that made them for the military.
I'm 99.9999... percent sure it is a reproduction. I've never claimed otherwise.
I'm not positive it is a reproduction though. As my pappy, a couple uncles, grand pappy's, great grand pappy, and great-great granny used to say: "Only a fool is positive about anything."
I try not to be a fool ...

Had the day off so I figured why not go out and fight with the spiders and the ticks? I'll probably be itchy as heck tonight. Carried this beast today. It seems like all I reach for lately is a big knife or a tiny knife and mediums are collecting dust.

Looks like we’re both on a RR kick

- indeed. Mighty impressed considering their cost, as no doubt, are you and just a few others.

Need to get it sharpened up properly and use it, may do a wee review.

Hope you're keeping well, Alan :)

Lol! The infamous Earl! I haven't thought about him in quite a while Jack! I wander what ever happened to him? Thanks for the compliment on my pairing Jack. That drop point compliments the lambsfoot very well. That's a classy pairing you're carrying today my friend! :)

Me neither Ron, but I wish his adventures hadn't come to a premature end. It was fun to hang out with him for a week or two :) It looks a very capable combination  Thanks buddy, too long since I carried the Radio Jack

I currently have the trapper and the swayback. The swayback is a tough well made knife. The trapper appears to be as well made.

Looks tasty! Is that one of the new “slim” models? What do you think?
The difference between it and the cocobolo Roundhead is insignificant unless you're really into titanium or are planning to do some modding. the pull is firmer than my cocobolo Roundhead and I like the simplicity without all the fiddly screws and liners. It feels a little cheep/tacky compared to the original but makes a more satisfying snap when closing.
I work on a hot fast paced production floor so my EDC has to be light, sweat resistant and not scary. This knife's perfect for my work carry.

Got on yesterday morning in baton rouge, rode some weather out and now north bound. Looking around the pilot house for some metal polisher to shine my blades upView attachment 1407534
Absolutely love that picture.

Ever wish you could go back in time and see/remember how a knife looked or felt when you got it? I've had this for one year on Saturday. Seems to me the scales have shrunk a bit. There may have been a very slight bit of the liner showing in a few places before, but it's thinly exposed top and bottom on both sides now, and the bolsters are all just slightly proud, all of which makes the bolster corners a bit rough. Fairly certain this was not always the case. I've read about such things being not uncommon to Snakewood.
Anyway, still a great knife, just wish it was a little better on the transitions.

Don't have any pics handy but my snakewood 29 is doing the same thing as yours. Gonna have to do some research to see if anything can be done about it.

Interesting (and unfortunate) yours is doing the same. I did some reading last night, it doesn't seem like a wood that takes very easy to any kind of attempts to fix shrinkage.

These today, unless I go even lighter for the heat. (I was pleased to learn yesterday that dehydration can have symptoms very like a stroke. A stroke was what I thought I had.)

Ouch. BTDT. Dehydration/ heat exhaustion/ heat stroke can sneak up on you quick, and lay a serious hurtin' on you. Glad you're OK.

Thanks.
I had heat exhaustion, I think it was, at Hydrogeology Field Camp. I had the muscle cramps, cottonmouth, headache, irritability; but I kept waiting for the symptom of slow-wittedness, so I'd be sure. Finally I realized I'd been waiting on my wits for quite some time.
