Pocketed this 7 dot 6232 Texas jack made in the 70's. I don't carry it often, partly because it's too pretty to mar up and partly because the blade pull is a little too stout for my taste. It sure does snap though, gotta pay attention when closing the blades.Paired it with a Schatt & Morgan Heritage spear blade today.

Thanks for the comment on the Craftsman. It’s nice to stick with one for a stretch!Yes! Crank that original blackface 65 Pro Reverb till it makes your toes curl! Out of the dozen amps that I sold off when I stopped playing regularly, I had to keep the red Z (it’s a scientific fact that red amps have better tone) and a 71 Supro Thunderbolt. The Z is just so hard to beat.
That craftsman is such a cool whittler, btw. I’ve enjoyed seeing it this week!
Beautiful barehead jack, my friend!’
Love the radio knives.![]()
Thanks.
I had heat exhaustion, I think it was, at Hydrogeology Field Camp. I had the muscle cramps, cottonmouth, headache, irritability; but I kept waiting for the symptom of slow-wittedness, so I'd be sure. Finally I realized I'd been waiting on my wits for quite some time.
I'm carrying my Case chestnut bone Teardrop with CV steel today.

Beautiful work on your outstanding Fender Pro Reverb amp, Jeff; the Barlow and the Tele look very nice, too! It’s a great amp. It breaks up in a delicious way~ crank it up and use the guitar volume to control it.

I know that Blackfaces get all the attention~ for good reason. The woman I play with in one band has a 1965 BF Twin that is 100% original. She refuses to even change any tubes, caps, or resistors... And it is a great sounding amp. My PR is a ‘76 Silverface. It had always been a bit of a dream amp, and I found a complete chassis on the auction site. Bought NOS tubes and sent it to the tech for a complete going over. I built a cab out of cherry, bought some Weber speakers, a new reverb tank, etc.
