Carried and used these 2 today . The 2019 Blade Forums knife thanks to my friend Half/Stop Half/Stop Ron and the $ 28 + shipping Old Stag Pruner thanks to an unbelievable stroke of LUCK . I keep asking myself " Self where can you get that kind of Stag shaped to the liners or vice versus on a folder with integral bolsters , no liner gaps , squared off bolsters , liners , and spring and snappy for $28 + shipping ??? " . And , we as a group , designed an outstanding knife in 2019 . I used the BF knife to harvest the cucumber today .

I see I need to get out the Flitz tomorrow .
I hope that you all had a great day today my friends .

Looking good Harry! That’s two fine working knives right there! :)

Thanks for the comment on the Craftsman. It’s nice to stick with one for a stretch!
I know that Blackfaces get all the attention~ for good reason. The woman I play with in one band has a 1965 BF Twin that is 100% original. She refuses to even change any tubes, caps, or resistors... And it is a great sounding amp. My PR is a ‘76 Silverface. It had always been a bit of a dream amp, and I found a complete chassis on the auction site. Bought NOS tubes and sent it to the tech for a complete going over. I built a cab out of cherry, bought some Weber speakers, a new reverb tank, etc.

It’s a great amp. It breaks up in a delicious way~ crank it up and use the guitar volume to control it.

Beautiful barehead jack, my friend!’

Not wanting to impose but would you by chance have a quality computer speaker that you would recommend? I have used the higher end Bose 20 series speakers for a few years and the bass in the left speaker has now blown twice in different sets. I want to step up to something of higher quality that will last. An increase in price is not an issue.

Thank you

Beautiful Stuff Greg . Really like those Slips and your fixed blade .

Harry
Thanks, Harry. That fixed blade is new to me earlier this year and I haven't yet put it to work.

BTW, I don't believe I've ever commented on that stag pruner of your's but that one is exceptional and I enjoy seeing such a unique knife.
Also good to see that ya take it out and use it.:thumbsup:

Thank you very much Greg . I am almost an Octogenarian and I enjoy knives that are older than me . It just seems like they want to show me that they are not done and ready to be put away yet . This old knife , is one of those knives that just makes me feel good to have , carry , and use . Take care my friend .

I helped a colleague move into her new house today along with several others. Sweated through my shirt and shorts in the hot, humid climate here. But I was carrying my modified Opinel No. 7 and though it is carbon and the wood got pretty damp, I just let it dry and it was fine. I don't know how to beat the value and usefulness of the Opinel and other similar simple knives.

I am also totin a gift from Rachell @r8shell! An 881Y.

And my old 293Y, which I’ve had since buying it new in the hardware store in the ‘70s. Both of these today because it’s Schrade Saturday, and any day that ends with a Y is a good day for yellow knives. And, this slim little 2 layer Wenger because I always carry a SAK of some kind.View attachment 1408666View attachment 1408667View attachment 1408668 Have a satisfying Saturday!

Rachel is a kind and thoughtful member, that's a nice gift :)

I'm glad to see those knives getting a carry now and then. :)

Good morning, folks!

Interesting pair Rachel :)

Wow...another beautiful Jack Black Jack Black Lambsfoot SFO. More evidence that I’m a few years too late to this traditional knife party!

Thanks Jon :) Sorry you missed these, I'm afraid there were less than 30 produced. That was all the vintage Sambar available at the time

Lovely photo Bill

Rainy Saturday here. Oh well.
So, I really like both of these Boker fixed blades. I can't make up my mind up on which I like best, which one to carry. They are very different knives.
So I'm carrying both....
I think I've crossed some kind of knife nut line...

Carrying two fixed blades is crossing a new line, Gary, I think! :D I'd find it hard to choose too though :)

Two classic patterns for you today, Jack; the stag covers on your AC Lamb are marvelous!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Toting a couple of spear bladed jacks for Saturday. :)

Many thanks JJ, two fab Saturday Jacks there my friend :)

Feeling versatile today

Another great pairing Ron

Thank you, fellas. Hopefully this post goes through - this blasted site is insufferable as of late.

These two for me today.

They look great together Dylan :)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend, and that you get some time to relax today :) Busy here, but I have my Hartshead Barlow with me, and this beautiful Canal Street Balloon Whiitler, a generous gift from a kind friend and fellow Guardian :)
