What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It’s so good to see you here Gev! That Primble is as beautiful as ever my friend! :)

Very tranquil, very pleasing, very aesthetic

So much to admire in that knife jigging & shield in particular, pleased to see you active again Gev.

This GEC 62 pays a kind of homage to that shield.

Thank you my friends :) Good to see your fine photographs and equally fine cutlery choices :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I really like the 2 Victorinox - 2 Imperial foursome, Gary; a pocket full of coolness!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks, JJ. :) It makes a guy feel pretty confident when he's got a couple of knives with "Victor" in the name and a couple more with "Imperial".:cool:

I really like the looks of a well-worn Alox handle.:thumbsup:
Awesome this Pioneer, I love to see the using of many years.:thumbsup:;)
You always have a great group of knives, Gary, whether on schedule or off. I always like to see your Old Cross Pioneer. We don't see such a well worn Pioneer around here very often.
...
I am always happy to see your lovingly worn Pioneer, Gary.:)
I could never stick to any kind of totin’ schedule, though. I enjoy poking through the cigar boxes before bed choosing the next day’s totes, but quite often change my mind in the morning.
Thanks for the supportive comments, guys, although most of the pocket wear on the Alox occurred before I bought the knife in an antique store while I was on vacation a few years back. Here are some pics I took this morning when I took the scenic route to work, walking most of the Reeds Lake Trail that circles a lake in East Grand Rapids.
Pioneer on top of trail map where I started the trip:

here’s my carry from today. Once again getting it in before midnight.
...
What are you whittling there, Dan? Looks like you have a giant pencil for which you carved a big cover to protect the point!:thumbsup::cool: Did you use the Eureka to do it?

...
Four interesting knives there Gary  Plenty of blades options too! :D

Pocketing some bone today, with a vintage William Rodgers Lambsfoot, gifted to me by Charlie @waynorth, and a random Queen Canoe, gifted to me by @pmew :)
...
Thanks, Jack. :)
Your pair is exquisite, and even though you're stagless with those two, you've got some exemplary bone!:thumbsup::cool: I, of course, am quite taken with the Queen canoe! ;)

Today with Frost Cutlery Flying Falcon.;)
...
Very nice, José!:thumbsup::thumbsup: I have a Flying Falcon like that on my desk at work, but it has no message/advertising on the handles, just blank yellow.

Nice choices Gary !
Thanks, Steve. :) (Of course, with my rotation schedule, I don't think of myself having "choices" - my knives are all "predestined". I should get back into choosing a couple of "free choice" knives each week to supplement all the "assigned" knives.)

They might not all make it. It's going to be too warm for a jacket.
...
But there's no reason not to carry the Trim Trio or the Imperial, and I can't put away my new surprise Camillus. The Wright doesn't mind a little rattling around, and the Remington doesn't add much bulk.
I like the "can-do attitude" displayed below the photo; that's a quality quintet that deserves to be carried, regardless of meteorological conditions! ;):cool::thumbsup:

And I thought a head knocker cudgel was just the ticket for securing my personal space in the crowded aisles of the Badger Knife Show, so I shamelessly copied Harry and made one too.
Alas, the knife show fell victim to the flu, but this thing is handy for enforcing “social distancing”.:D

I had an old red elm shovel handle that I was happy to re-purpose.

I think at least five is about right!
Two Wengers in my left pocket, a pen or peanut in my little pocket, and two totes in my right pocket, and I still have room on my belt!:D:rolleyes:
I don’t suffer from insanity~ I’ve learned to enjoy it.
Nice cudgel, Jeff!:cool::thumbsup: I immediately thought, in pandemic mode, "If you can hit someone with that, they were unhealthily close anyway." :D:thumbsup: (And what you say about gun & knife shows is why I won't go to one until we've got an effective and widely-used vaccine. I just can't see most attendees wearing well-fitting masks, staying 6 feet away from everyone, and generally obeying orders that didn't originate in their own minds.)
Your last sentence is a good T-shirt slogan. ;)

...
I was paralyzed from the neck down much of 2012. I came home in a wheelchair just in time for Thanksgiving, graduated to a walker, then canes. Now, by the grace of God, I no longer need anything to get around and get in trouble.
That's an inspiring story, Jeff!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Reminds me of a verse in the old hymn (at least in my church, and apparently in Charles Wesley's original poem) whose title would be texted as something like "O 4 1K Tongues 2 Sing":
Hear him, ye deaf; his praise, ye dumb,
Your loosen'd tongues employ;
Ye blind, behold your Saviour come,
And leap, ye lame, for joy.

KeenKutter and a Camillus

Sublime pair!! :thumbsup::cool::cool:
Maybe with elections less than a month away, I should start voting for my favorite knife when people post more than one.:thumbsup::D
I'l vote for the KK Kattle Knife! ;):thumbsup:

One of the most memorable knives I've seen on BF, Dwight!:thumbsup::cool: (I think you and Ted each have one.) You have the best toys, too!:p

I'm carrying my Avatar (Ancient 2.0) for TC Tuesday.

Royal and Ancient, Dean! ;):cool::cool:

Superb pen knife! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Carrying these two today, and looking forward to a mail call later this week. After days of resisting the new run of Bark River City Knives, I cracked last night and have a roughed out buffalo horn version inbound :).
...
Great to see that AG Russell scout again, Tom; one hasn't been posted for a long time IIRC!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks Gary, they are OD Linen and Canvas
Thanks for the ID, Steve. :) I was going to guess OD, but thought they were too brown for that; shows just what a "micarta expert" I am.

Thanks, GT! It is going to be a fun user I think.:)
I hope you get lots of enjoyment from it, Les!:thumbsup::)

Thank you for your comments, Gary. The stockman is a 63087 (same frame as your yellow Case penknife).
...
Thanks for the ID, Dean. :) I can't seem to keep all of Case's stockman models straight, especially the "mediums".

Handsome jack with its faux stag covers!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you GT, it is a joy to feel the action on this one - old time goodness. OH
Ps your vintage Imperial Stockman is another pocketknife that is both nostalgic and built the old way.
There's a classic. :cool::thumbsup:
Thanks, Bruce & John; I like that USA Imperial a LOT! ;)

Thanks a whole bunch x 2, Gary!!!

You always have the coolest canoes; the covers on your RR are real standouts!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Four handsome knives GT :) That's a great pic of the RR Canoe, the covers are much better-looking in your photo than any of the dealer pics I've seen
...
Thanks, JJ & Jack. :) I'm not formally trained in marketing or rocket science, but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize you want to "put your best foot forward" to impress others. So I posted the pile side of the RR Painted Desert canoe, since I think it looks better than the mark side:

After spotting Jeff's "shortline" Camillus 23 (@Amir Fleschwund) I grabbed these two Remingtons; the big fella is also made by Camillus. :)
...
Better than lemon pudding, JJ!:cool::thumbsup:
I vote for the big knife with the triangular shield and French ivory covers! :)

...
todays carry- still loving the wood covers and wishing I had more like ‘um.
Good wood!:cool::thumbsup: Did you keep that one for Wooden Wednesday carry, too?

Thanks Gary, I think that pen is only on the 032 Jack knife that I know of?
Thanks for the info, Paul. :)
I've been looking at Case patterns for a while, and never saw another with a pen like that.

...
Edit - Forgot to post my carry! :D
...
Prestigious, yet practical, pair, Jack!:cool::cool:
I'll vote for the stag lambsfoot HHB. ;)

Today in my pocket I carry this Portuguese Francisco Cangueiro in horn.;)
... ...
Gorgeous knife, José; the horn is exquisite, and I especially like the stripes around the butt of the handle!:thumbsup::cool:

Setter in wood for Wednesday.
RjDdtIO.jpg
Extremely attractive wood lockback Joker!!:thumbsup::cool: What kind of wood is that?

First time I've carried my shiny new 15. I opened a candy bar with it. Its performance was superlative
View attachment 1433100
I spend a lot of time getting the right edge on my new knives and stropping them daily, being sure to keep them hair popping sharp...
... just so, some days, I can open a candy bar with it that I could otherwise open it with my fingers.:D
Handsome knife!!

Great to see you back Gevo . You always post some interesting photos my friend . Have you taken any road trips like you used to do out to your tree ????

Harry
Thank you my friend :) No Sir, have not seen my tree in many moons, but often think of her :D
