I love them old Silver Knights too Ed I got a few of 'em, even got the green plastic scales with the Gerber Legend Shield.

But whittled my first face. :o
The SAK Hiker makes a great whittler. Big blade, small blade, and a wood saw (et al.).

Ted, those green scales on the Silver Knights were kraton rubber, checkered. I've had 2 or 3 of them, only one 300A left now. I'm glad you are enjoying that sowbelly!!

This is my carry knife all the time it's the only one I have now. It's a Rick Menefee Cokebottle Jack #0.

That's a very nice Menefee you have there. Welcome to the forum. You probably will wind up with more knives if you hang in here much. Especially, this thead.

Thanks guys I appreciate it. I am new to the forum but not to collecting. I've been collecting since the seventies but about 13 years ago I was injured at work and had to sell them all so now I just buy one every so often when I need a new carry knife, or my tastes change as they did in this case.

Richard Rogers: Cattle Knife

This one (like Ken's) has the look and feel of a bygone era...

Got this one in yesterday, and I must say the walk and talk is just ideal on this one. Pulls are 5-6, and the blades have wonderful grinds, and the edge bevels are evenly done! Not shaving sharp but perfectly acceptable for everyday use. A good stropping would make em pop. Very happy with this one.

Fortunately (for their sakes

), while I appreciate all things Blue and those are fine knives, those particular patterns are a little too pointy-pointy (anointy-nointy) for my taste.

Have I mentioned I'm kinda picky? No, really.

One of my favourite poems! :D

Not going anywhere today, struck low by a cowardly virus, but got this Arthur Wright swayback in my pocket anyway.

I had to pick something different for today. Just because. I was looking around at my "inventory" to see what was available and found the little Kabar lockback that my wife and my sons gave me many years ago; so long ago, I am not sure just when it was.... and since it is so small, I paired it with the "TLAR" jack that Keith Johnson made for me a while back. The photo disappoints me because the lighting just isn't good (too bright) for this combo on this day. But here it is anyway.

The brass on the Kabar is dull, so it will get a polishing at the end of the day.
