  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It is a treasure to me. Although considerably worn still has great snap. Barlows were meant to be used and the more wabi sabi, the better in my opinion.

In all its glory:
Remington c. 1924 - 1933 Barlow

Very nice, Gev, very nice. There's nothing like a well-used and well-loved Barlow. Even the bone has a character that enhances the whole look.

Still the circa 1978-1982 Old Timer 7OT with 1095 carbon steel not "Schrade+" blade, and circa 1978-1986 Old Timer "Schrade +" 858.

I'm beginning to suspect one reason I was able to carry the same two or three knives for consecutive years, is at least partly because I didn't have other knives crying to be carried.
I think I'm going to change to a 110 or 2 blade slipjoint folding hunter, and a different stockman, on or after turkey day. All this crying coming from the armoire is getting on my nerves.
