I figure it’s about time to run through my carbon steel knives and keen/carry/clean them. Been a long time since I have. I pull it out, touch up the blade, carry it anywhere from a day to however long it takes me to decide to move on. Oil it up good. So, started with one of my favorites. Looks like the bronze continues to bleed the verdigris into the stag. I really like how it looks. Knife looks, and has been, well loved. Used but not abused.

Hope you bring home some venison, Bruce! It’s been awhile, but all I had on me while still hunting whitetails in the Ozarks, was my Schrade yellow trapper and a sheath knife.
Now, I’d spend three days agonizing over which thirteen knives to take!
Thank you, I’ll be sure to post if I do. As to so many knives to pick from - if you are a porch member you suffer from an embarrassment of blade riches - we all do (even our minimalists). OH
