i keep kicking myself for not getting one of these M&G trappers when i had the chance. Really great looking knives. I wanted the appaloosa bone variant.
The #66 is aging nicely, Jack.
The Brown Saw Cut looks so nice on that knife.
Wonderful Whittler.
Such a handy pattern, I wish they’d do another run of those.
Real Life Pocket Worn........nice horse knife (I guess thats what it's called).
Thanks and I'm still working on themReal Life Pocket Worn........nice horse knife (I guess thats what it's called).

Two more pairs with perfectly-matched and breathtaking bone, Steve!A couple of Schrades today

Thanks, Dean. With the clip/sheepsfoot blade combo, do you prefer the 93OT jack or the 2015 BF knife from Canal Street Cutlery?Nice group, Gary. I really like the Schrade 93OT.![]()
You sure are a tireless ambassador for Old Timers, Jeff! What’s that day between Friday and Sunday?
SCHRADURDAY!
With all apologies to Stagurday
I’ve never mastered the skill of using more than one knife at a time. But that doesn’t stop me from carrying more than one. Just need a sturdy belt.
Have a great day!View attachment 1472169View attachment 1472170
Just another beautiful day in the neighborhood . Our first real snow this season .
...
I have these in my pockets today . Two of my many favorites . Stag Saturday . A day to be very thankful for my good friends and family's health .
We , as a country , are so blessed to have some pretty good doctors .

Unusual (to me) and interesting blade shape, Rick!Been totin' this A.G. Russell Vest Pocket Semi-Skinner for a few days. It's the overall package that's keeping it in my pocket but the blade plays a big part in that.
I may have found myself a new favorite blade shape.

THAT'S a knife, Taylor!!
I remember showing that advert to an old climbing partner of mine about 1990. He moved back to Ireland a few years later, but we have met up a few times, and speak occassionally on the phone. He still laughs about that line!Thank you my friend, it's great to see your Valley Jack

Beautiful grain on Valley Jack GT!
Jack, Jon, John:...
So nice to see Valley Jack again.![]()
Interesting observation; thanks!...
I lost the5K Qs quote, but I consider the broader than usual blades on a Schrade muskrat to be an improvement on the usual borderline awl blades on most muskrats.
"You can't always get what you want", despite our culture being fed the "Have it your way" myth for over half a century....
That's what happens when people don't want to follow the guidelines.
...
If it were a real cookie, it would have a bite taken out of it.
...
Thanks for the informative comparison pic, John; it's worth 1000 words!
Thank you. When you don’t, I do. I think it’s the most classic, nicest stag knife I’ve owned of John’s.
Probably more versatile and fashionable than my fanny pack....
I still might get an adventurer's vest.
Thanks for the TL-29 handle engraving info, Jeff; kind of amazing that it's still so clearly visible! Thanks for your kind and entertaining comments, Gary!
The white in the embossed TL-29 is original. Since all of my knives are users, and I rarely carry in slips, wear happens.
I suppose if I had @r8shell’s steady scrimshaw hands, I could touch it up, it might be tempting. I have others, both wood and plastic, where any paint that might have been there is long gone.
I like your euphamisms for your multiple knife carry equipage, but butt bag reminds me of my abdominal surgery.. ah never mind
I thought my Opi might be ash, but it’s probably oak.
...
I'll pontificate on almost any subject, Dean, no matter how much I actually know about it.Thank you for your kind comments and your insight into your Christmas tree handling clothes, Gary.![]()
Thanks for the positive comments, JJ.Thank you kindly X 3 Gary!!!
That would be an awesome scrimshaw project; I'd love to see that!
Btw, thanks again!
Very cool scrimshaw on your Marbles; quite the long legged beauty, too!![]()
I admire your recent commitment to the Electrician (and your handsome Case Peanut)! My favourite traditional pattern has been a stockman since I got my 34ot in the early 90s. This electrician reminds me of a stockman with a punch instead of a spey blade and the addition of a screwdriver/bottle opener (which was put to good use this weekend). I like it.

Interesting story, Paul! Thanks Gary, I get a lot of enjoyment reworking an old knife and putting it back into serviceI enjoyed hearing of your once a year Christmas tree jacket, on a somber note my father had what he called his Funeral Suit and the inside pocket had all the pamphlets from many funerals
I like the Christmas jacket of yours a lot more

I hope the back improvement continues, Jack....
Thanks Gary, I'm in less pain today, so I'm hopefully on the mendIf there was video, I might be taking legal action
Thankfully, I didn't end up face-down in the mud!

You certainly take some fine photos of your splendid stag HHB, Bill!
Cool Wenger; I've never seen one like that!
