A couple of Schrades today

Two more pairs with perfectly-matched and breathtaking bone, Steve! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Nice group, Gary. I really like the Schrade 93OT. :thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks, Dean. With the clip/sheepsfoot blade combo, do you prefer the 93OT jack or the 2015 BF knife from Canal Street Cutlery?
Attractive sawcut Ancient TC! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

What’s that day between Friday and Sunday?
SCHRADURDAY!:cool:
With all apologies to Stagurday;)
I’ve never mastered the skill of using more than one knife at a time. But that doesn’t stop me from carrying more than one. Just need a sturdy belt.
Have a great day!View attachment 1472169View attachment 1472170
You sure are a tireless ambassador for Old Timers, Jeff! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Just another beautiful day in the neighborhood . Our first real snow this season .
...
I have these in my pockets today . Two of my many favorites . Stag Saturday . A day to be very thankful for my good friends and family's health .

We , as a country , are so blessed to have some pretty good doctors .

Harry
Toting a couple of Schatt slicers for Saturday. :)
Toting a couple of Imperial BSA scouts for Sunday. :)
My Daily Lamb with a 1970's Case Dogleg Jack...
I carried these two today: Case 63090 Stockman and a Pocket Hunter.

Thank you GT! Always nice to see the Valley show up in the rotation.
Harry, José, JJx2, Jack, John, solphilos solphilos , Dean, Michael, @Marlingspike12 :
All superb, notable pairs! :thumbsup::cool::cool::thumbsup:

Magnificent job, Rachel! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
That scrimshaw example has gotta be a feather in your cap! ;)

Been totin' this A.G. Russell Vest Pocket Semi-Skinner for a few days. It's the overall package that's keeping it in my pocket but the blade plays a big part in that.

I may have found myself a new favorite blade shape.

Unusual (to me) and interesting blade shape, Rick! :thumbsup::cool::cool: Entire knife is pretty cool!

THAT'S a knife, Taylor!! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

I remember showing that advert to an old climbing partner of mine about 1990. He moved back to Ireland a few years later, but we have met up a few times, and speak occassionally on the phone. He still laughs about that line! :D Thank you my friend, it's great to see your Valley Jack :) :thumbsup:
Beautiful grain on Valley Jack GT!
...
So nice to see Valley Jack again. :cool::thumbsup:
Jack, Jon, John:
thanks for extolling Valley Jack's virtues. :)

I lost the 5K Qs 5K Qs quote, but I consider the broader than usual blades on a Schrade muskrat to be an improvement on the usual borderline awl blades on most muskrats.
Interesting observation; thanks! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

That's what happens when people don't want to follow the guidelines. :mad:

If it were a real cookie, it would have a bite taken out of it. ;)
...
"You can't always get what you want", despite our culture being fed the "Have it your way" myth for over half a century. :(
Good point about the cookie decoration. :D

Thanks, GT. :)
I also prefer round bolsters, but this model doesn't have a spey blade... I prefer the small pen blade.

Yes, the exact same frame and main blade.
Thanks for the informative comparison pic, John; it's worth 1000 words! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you. When you don’t, I do. I think it’s the most classic, nicest stag knife I’ve owned of John’s.
:thumbsup:;):thumbsup:

...
I still might get an adventurer's vest.
Probably more versatile and fashionable than my fanny pack. :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks for your kind and entertaining comments, Gary!
The white in the embossed TL-29 is original. Since all of my knives are users, and I rarely carry in slips, wear happens.
I suppose if I had @r8shell’s steady scrimshaw hands, I could touch it up, it might be tempting. I have others, both wood and plastic, where any paint that might have been there is long gone.

I like your euphamisms for your multiple knife carry equipage, but butt bag reminds me of my abdominal surgery.. ah never mind:eek::rolleyes:

I thought my Opi might be ash, but it’s probably oak.
...
Thanks for the TL-29 handle engraving info, Jeff; kind of amazing that it's still so clearly visible! :eek::thumbsup:
I can see how "butt bag" might have some unpleasant associations for you. :( I don't suppose "pelvic pouch" is much better? :rolleyes:

Thank you for your kind comments and your insight into your Christmas tree handling clothes, Gary. :)
I'll pontificate on almost any subject, Dean, no matter how much I actually know about it. :rolleyes:

Thank you kindly X 3 Gary!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

That would be an awesome scrimshaw project; I'd love to see that!:rolleyes::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Btw, thanks again!:D

Very cool scrimshaw on your Marbles; quite the long legged beauty, too!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks for the positive comments, JJ. :)

My favourite traditional pattern has been a stockman since I got my 34ot in the early 90s. This electrician reminds me of a stockman with a punch instead of a spey blade and the addition of a screwdriver/bottle opener (which was put to good use this weekend). I like it.
ZP90XAv.jpg
I admire your recent commitment to the Electrician (and your handsome Case Peanut)! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: I think I've posted something very similar to your post here, remarking on the Electrician as a Swiss stockman or cattle knife. ;)

Thanks Gary, I get a lot of enjoyment reworking an old knife and putting it back into service:) I enjoyed hearing of your once a year Christmas tree jacket, on a somber note my father had what he called his Funeral Suit and the inside pocket had all the pamphlets from many funerals:( I like the Christmas jacket of yours a lot more;)
Interesting story, Paul! :cool::thumbsup: I had a pair of shoes I bought in 1969 that became my Wedding/Funeral shoes for about 40 years, and I have a black suit whose inside chest pocket on the jacket has the pamphlets from the funerals of all 4 of my grandparents, my mom, and my mother-in-law.

...
Thanks Gary, I'm in less pain today, so I'm hopefully on the mend :thumbsup: If there was video, I might be taking legal action :rolleyes: Thankfully, I didn't end up face-down in the mud! :eek: :D :thumbsup:

I hope the back improvement continues, Jack. :thumbsup::):thumbsup:
Nice pair, as always. Have you been carrying a lot of scout patterns in the past week or so?

You certainly take some fine photos of your splendid stag HHB, Bill! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Cool Wenger; I've never seen one like that! :thumbsup::cool::cool:
Is it quite old?
