What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

These two for me today. I need to carry the M&G more - it's absurdly shiny compared to the Lambsfoot.

That Boker is intriguing! Can you tell me more about it?
Yeah, it a Solingen made Boker. They call the model "Barlow prime" just a shade over 3 3/8" closed. Weighs in at 1.7oz per my postal scale. Steel is N690. I have been quite impressed with this one. Smooth action and very snappy.

Looks like Ducky really likes that Farm and Field... as do I.:thumbsup:
I’m glad to hear that, Ducky smiles at everything!
Miscellaneous Knife of the Week is an Imperial serpentine jack that belonged to my father-in-law (before I knew him), then my wife (before I married her), then me (and turned me into a knife knut who carries some knives in a baseball-stitched wallet):

Cool wallet, and great story!
For old friends Friday, hanging out with my birth year Case 06247PEN :D

Have a great weekend everyone!

Henceforth I shall think of you as One Dot.:D
My birth year knife is in the museum of natural history. It’s in a little display right between the bronze age wing, and the stone age wing.
Camillus US Army AirCorp. Utility and an Oregon Trapper today.

Quite the pair, Steve.
Nice old PAL, Gev!
Well thank you! The jigging is the deepest I've seen on Amber Bone so I struck it very lucky, more so since now CASE has forbidden its dealers to export to Europe :poop: Death wish... I'm not very clued up on CASE tang stamps but I suspect the Stockman is a 2007 knife.

Regards, Will
That stinks, Will. Is something going on with EU knife laws?
In my pocket today, my familiar Case 6332 MED Stockman. Been busy, busy getting ready to have some friends over for an early Christmas dinner. I’ve got a 15 lb. standing rib roast on the grill that I’ve been tending all afternoon while blowing the driveway and helping my wife straighten, set up, and adjust numerous things I’d never considered needed touching! Picked out my stag handled Buck 120 as the knife to cut the meat when its time - pretty enough for a party and functional enough to cut meat! OH

This may not be the place where this should be posted , but since it is one of the Highest Viewed threads there is , this is where I am going to post it and this will be tough for me to do .
Today I lost a very good friend to me and a good friend to many of you . His wife has asked to let you all know that @Half/Stop Ron passed away . He had open heart surgery for a Torn Aorta about 3 weeks ago and was back at home for about 2 weeks . He collapsed this afternoon and was rushed to the hospital but was not strong enough to survive . I know some of you asked about him , but he did not want it to be known as to why he wasn't on the Forums . At one point , it appeared that he was Okay a couple of weeks ago , but that eventually changed . I know for a fact that I will miss him and his phone calls .
When Ron was young and running a Paper Route he would go down to the local hardware store and buy a knife on lay-away . So you know he had been collecting for a few years . He was 66 years old . In the Louis Lamour books about the Sacketts , they talked about " A Guy Good Enough To Ride The River With " . I would have " rode the river " with Ron .

Really sorry to hear this about Ron. While I didn't know him personally, he was one of the first to make an impact on me when I joined here a few years back, with his nice knife collection, but moreso with his friendly and helpful words. I'll miss seeing him around here. My condolences to his family and all who knew him.

This is such sad news. Ron’s heart and his kindness will be greatly missed. I resonate with A akaMatt , Ron reached out to me when I was new to answer questions and welcome me. Such a great man. I will miss his impeccable daily duo’s that always made me salivate. Heartfelt condolences to his friends and family.
