That knife makes me want to build a great big sammich... and then cleave it in half.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I'm glad to see you were able to squeeze it into your rotation. It's a cool looking knife.:thumbsup:

Carrying my Charlie Lamb today ;) Along with a Random Tuesday Buck 301 i was gifted by @r8shell :)

Crazy about your couple of classic, Jack!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks Gary :) Words to live by! :D I definitely do more stupid stuff as I get older o_O

LOL! :D Yeah, my hand is still pink, and looks about 20 years older than the other  I put the burns dressing over the most badly scalded area, but it wasn't big enough to cover my entire hand. The covered area has definitely been damaged less than the uncovered, even though it was the worst burnt. I have just been trying to find some good salve I used to carry in my pack, but I can't find it for the life of me o_O The only thing it's interfering with is doing the washing-up GT, but it's OK if I wear a thick rubber glove

Thanks pal :D
I hope your scalded hand is getting closer to normal, Jack.:thumbsup:

Case current production knives are often criticized here on the Porch. However, the good ones are exceptional for the price. You just have to take your time to pick the best ones. Fortunately, dealers will work with you to hand select examples that meet your expectations. And you also have the luxury of time to search out the best examples!
Do you get your Case knives from online dealers, LT, or do you have access to brick-and-mortar Case dealers?

For Trapper Tuesday...
That pair would make me bonkers for Trapper Tuesday OR Wooden Wednesday, John!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Your duo of distinctive knives atop a dapper straw hat make me delirious, José!:cool::thumbsup:

Camillus four line Trapper and an Ulster Jack
...
Your vintage bone pair sends me round the bend, Steve!:cool::thumbsup:

A saw cut Case Barlow like that makes me act erratic, Jim!:cool::cool:

I flip out when I see that lovely lambsfoot, Les!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks! It's a volume knob at the lower left. I guess the chicken head style knob was chosen to make it look even more unique.
I'm recovering from having my wisdom teeth removed, so I don't feel like taking a new photo. Here's a recycled pic of the stockman I'm carrying.
...
Thanks for the cigar box info. :)
I hope you're recovering well from the wisdom teeth extraction, with no complications.:thumbsup:
Since I had mine removed, people say I'm "not all there".

Gone ga-ga over that pair, Taylor!:thumbsup::cool:

Toting a burly Trapper and a sleek Toothpick, both made under Bill Howard's masterful eye. :)
...
I'm hatter-mad about your Black Box toothpick, JJ!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

You will definitely need your backup. You think she’ll be intimidated by that little thing?
I'm insane over these 3-species (Bear, Cat, Rat) photos, Tom! ;):cool:

Carried a Case 47 pattern Pen today, nice and flat with all the attributes of a big clip blade. OH
...
That big bone pen knife makes me kooky, Bruce!:thumbsup::cool:

I'm staggered by the striking stag HHBs whose photos are crossing the border, Dan & Mike! ;):cool:

I'm loony over that lavish lambsfoot, P&G!:cool::thumbsup:

Why people gotta pry with the pen blades?
Oh well, still lots of knife left. :);)
...
Those piano keys pairs unhinge me, Rachel & Jeff!:cool::cool:

I'm going to start throwing this Templar Pemberton in my watch pocket every day. It's just too cute not to carry more often and it's really the perfect knife to use in front of knife-shy people. Expect to see it a lot from now on... Let's see how it ages. :)
...
Sounds like a prudent plan, John!:thumbsup::cool:

I was pining for the green, so it's back in my watch pocket with my glass. The Kabar is very hard to set aside. It doesn't look so huge next to the Wright; maybe it looks and feels huge to me because in my experience this shape is usually 3.5" instead of 4.25".

The ancient Greeks considered 6 to be a "perfect number." ;):cool:

I'm loco over the lustre on the handle of your Northwoods Knife, Joshua!:thumbsup::cool:

Posted this in the GEC thread, but wanted to share here as well. Carrying my Waynorth Lambfoot!
...
I'm a rabid fan of that knife!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Toting this beefy Case hunter and a little super slicer from MAM, both wearing wood. :)

That desirable duo makes me unbalanced, JJ! ;):thumbsup:

The slip you made for Gary is almost like your Signature John .
Thank you, Harry.
I really need to get back out to the shop, I have some sheaths to make.

The more I see your Copperhead , the more I like it my friend . A Jack , Sunken Joint , Right Color , Right Jigging , Right Size . Might have to order one .
I'm really taking to this pattern. It really is a great design and a very nice size. I'm glad zi was able to find this vintage one and I'll probably order one of the new ones to go with it.:thumbsup:

That pair would make me bonkers for Trapper Tuesday OR Wooden Wednesday, John!
Thank you, GT. :)
That Wood Trapper has become my TV watching "fondle knife.:thumbsup:

Rough Sawn Osage has a really nice texture in hand. Hit the lotto on mine ... best snap of the run that I own so far with great masking. Earth tones provide pleasing color with the lighter halo accentuating the effect. So I googled Osage and found out some interesting tidbits. Osage orange is hedge apple! Have tons of them on the farm, all along the fence rows. Thorny, used before the invention of barbed wire, explains why my great-great inlaws planted them all around the farm as they were once upon a time fences. Wife uses them to keep spiders away (she believes it, I'm skeptical). Taken portrait mode as upside down text bugs my OCD. It's a winner.

Sunday around the house pair today. The little Vic Alox was a gift from my youngest son. He spent a semester abroad when he was an undergrad at Cornell. The semester included a 6 week break! He got to visit the UK, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany and Belgium (I'm sure I missed a few), I got a Swiss Army Knife! :D
Actually it's one of my treasures. I'll make sure it's passed on to one of my grandsons.
Have a safe and peaceful Sunday!

Many thanks JJ, I took that photo a few days after Christmas, on a blisteringly cold day, on the jetty, at the North Yorkshire fishing village of Staithes, a couple of years ago
It is a timeless shot; outstanding!:thumbsup:

View attachment 1501185 Just came in from clearing the driveway, or as Old Engineer Old Engineer says, “Repositioning snow”.
Nice knives to cut through all that snow today Jeff . We got 8 inches of it last night and it is still snowing lightly here . I checked out in the yard and we have 16 inches in a flat area . I still re-position snow that is on our patio but Nancy wanted me to get a Repositioning service . She said " At 80 you are too old to be doing that stuff " . So here I sit now with a big un-mounted Blower for my tractor that is sitting idle and the Repositioning service is not here yet at 2:00 P.M. . Oh well , who is to argue with someone who is making a Cherry Pie anyhow . Take care my friend .

Harry
