What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Little late to the party but finally got one of the 2020 forum knives

Looks good!

Didn't want to clog this up with the same knife everyday, but these two have been in my pocket for the past week (and today). I am liking the patina that is forming on the 86 from cutting my apple with it.

Changing the micarta and brass this week. Shuffler and Cadet. Decent knives, cheap watch. (I'm brutal on watches, so I haven't spent good money on a nice one.)

It's strange to me, considering how often you come across an old mechanical Timex that's still running, how little respect they get. Yes they were inexpensive, but they were very good watches.

I'm getting awfully predictable.
I like predictable, I find it comforting. :)

Good choice on the SAK, Jack.:thumbsup:
I've had several SAK knives but the Bantam is the only one I hung onto.
I like the economy of it; One blade and one tool with many functions. Fits perfectly into the watch pocket as a nice backup blade.

Been there, done that, Jack! No shopping for me last night. A bit too much Isolation Super Bowl partying I'm afraid!

One of the curses of lockdown dullness! Sounds like you were having more fun :D :)

Thanks John, I like it for the same reasons :)

As usual for this day of the week, a Lambsfoot and my TC Barlow for Micarta Monday...

I'm glad to see Skol is still there :)

@5K Qs - guessing 1960’s on your Camillus TL27 - slanted letters & long underline, and looks like smooth Delrin in the handle.
Ps. Thanks for the compliment on the 6318 - I almost missed it.

@5K Qs, and Bruce, I’ll trust Bruce on the tang stamp details. Without a TL-29 stamp in the scales, or a 27 stamp on the blade, the only way I can tell the civi from the GI is the GIs have thicker blades.
I do know that when they first switched over to plastic from cocobolo, they stuck with the forward placement of the shackle. All the way back was how they made them until the end, making that the last/newest version. Also, if you’ll look at the back, the earlier ones were finished. Later, final ones were not- the back was not ground and polished level after assembly.

Carrying the gumfuddy variation of the Imperial EO WW-II Navy Knife today. The handles have shrunk away from the bolsters over the years, but seem to have stabilized over the last decade. OH

Nice pair. Funny, but it seems like the gf is more rare than the bone??

Can't score a 15? Go VINTAGE!! :D:thumbsup:
Love the Voos, David!

Yeah, Superbowl. I've lost my CBS, for some reason. I was hoping Brady and the Bucs would win.

Nice carpenter’s whittler!

I was watching an old Chuck Norris movie from ‘83, so of course I knew who would win.
Chuck Norris always wins.
