What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I am carrying the TLAR sodbuster today. What a great knife! I just love it.

I can see why. That looks about right.

Doug, that Colonial has a certain charm about it. I find myself looking at it for minutes at a time when I see it as just now.

Thanks. The Lanny's Clip Jr. is 3 1/2" closed. The perfect size for the pocket, in my estimation. The blade is CPM 154.

Thank you Ed! I have mentioned before that this was the first knife I bought as a boy with my own money, saved from mowing lawns and delivering newspapers. The new bone handles in a shadow pattern have significantly altered what was a barlow with shell handles, and I rather like the transformation.

Here are a few more shots I took at the railroad near my boyhood home when we were back in Indiana for Thanksgiving.

Wow, love that pic:thumbup:
Looking at it gave me a 40 year time warp, and visions of us kids putting pennies and nickles on the tracks up in N.H., then when the train was gone by, running in to see how squished they were...

Very nice that you got that one restored Doug, It must feel nice to carry and use it again

carried this one:

Wildfires have not been kind to the area, but I think there is still some kind of stark beauty in the landscape

Thank you Duane for those kind words.

I too have memories of such activity. I would not even hazard a guess as to how many pennies met the end of their currency life right there on that rail! I'm pretty sure I still have a few of them in with the old coins I used to collect when I was in elementary school.

~P., Let's go with chocolale on the pop tarts. Who would want turkey pop tarts besides Elliott?

I've got the mini copperhead in my pocket today. The weather has cooled off today and will remain cool all week. Rain yesterday and last night, but sunshine most of the rest of the week. I'll be spending some time in the back forty this week.

This Boker (umlaut on the "o"), Premium Stock Knife.

Can anyone tell me if this is a genuine Boker, or a fake.

Thanks for looking.
