What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Happy Friday everyone. Looking forward to a nice weekend of potty training... ehhhh might need to switch to my beer & sausage this afternoon.

This BF20 knife came as a gift from a very kind, anonymous Porch Dweller. It has fit right in with my rotation. The m390 is a nice change of pace from my 1095s. I really like the texture that the rams horn provides.

Terrific trapper! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: I'm usually quite indifferent about acrylic handles, but that one made me sit up and take notice!

Same two today as yesterday.

Peanut and Pioneer are phenomenal pair! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you John, it's just the bark I scraped off the stick I'm working on :) :thumbsup:

Your stick is all bite, no bark, Jack; looking good! :thumbsup:;):thumbsup:

Completely captivating canoe, Tim! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Been a bit black'n'white here today. :)
Even though the Douk has probably the softest blade amongst the knives I own it's still one of my favourites, dead easy to get sharp, but needs sharpening often.......
Really like that photo! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Between Gary and Jack they make up for your lack of individual quotes so that's good.
Nice knife btw.
Mark, I plead guilty as charged! ;) I seem to have no qualms about a high quote quota (nor do I worry much about the quality vs. quantity issue :rolleyes:).

Small Douk-Douk 'Le Sorcier'

I had no idea there were so many variants of Douk-Douks; really enjoying the distinctive models you've been posting! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

I never paid much attention to tortoise shell before, but after seeing some beautiful examples posted by several enablers recently I got interested. I started looking around and spotted this older RR small stockman. (I really needed another small stockman.) Cleaned up pretty well....

Titillating turtle! :thumbsup::thumbsup:;) I think RR does a great job with their faux tortoise shell handles.

Grabbed a Toothpick and a Trapper for Tuesday. :)
With that trio of blades, you must feel like John Henry, JJ - a steel-driving man! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Keen Kutter Cattle and an Oregon Trapper

Kudos on the Keen Kutter with the wrinkly bone, Steve! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

I'm carrying my Ancient 2.0 TC Barlow.

Good to see your favorite Barlow, Dean! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
(I don't think I've told you that I have a student from South Korea this semester whose real name is Yejin, but she goes by the name Bliss while in the U.S. :) I think we once discussed the nature of the character Bliss in an Asimov novel.)

For tonite’s company, some more Schrade

A great one to all.
Marvelous improved muskrat, Gus! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

I had a knife out for a recover that was supposed to be back today. The USPS had a different idea about that so I thought this little 1970 Barlow would make a good substitute.
Beauty, Les! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Boker & Klaas. Unseasonably mild weather here today, a very pleasant change.:thumbsup:

Classy stag Klaas, Greg! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: (I've been enjoying a very mild March so far, too; even my snow piles next to the driveway are virtually gone. :))

It is one of the recent Cocobolo 15’s

Lovely lumber! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I aspire to be the same ;)
I like to pretend that I was once "larger than life", but I'm deliberately "downsizing" in my golden years. :rolleyes:

Today I carry this GEC #83 in Ebony wood.;):thumbsup:
... ...
Your ebony 83 is exemplary, José! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

I'll get on with it when the weather is better than it is here today my friend :) It IS the same model as Greg's Gary :) I like Marttinni knives, and think they're good value. I did a giveaway, with one of their fancier models, a few years back, but the plain LL works well for me :thumbsup:

Going for my first Covid shot today, armed with my AC Lambsfoot :) :thumbsup:

Jack, I think Marttiini have discontinued that specific model, but there are a couple of other inexpensive models of theirs that still attract me. :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Your AC (Abolish Covid??) looks in fine fettle! ;):cool::cool:
I think I've taken more steps this year than in any year of my life, so perhaps I should look into walking the Barratt way! :D

I was planning to carry some micarta today, realized it's Wednesday and 86'd that plan;)
Tremendous timber, David! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

My usual Lamb for Wooden Wednesday, and a Case Medium Stockman because it just felt right.
Commendable and dependable, John! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Nice!

I really should break down and get one of these while I still can... Every time I have a knife budget I put it off, either too expensive or I don't want to wait a month for it to cross the pond. But pictures like that make me feel terribly foolish.. ;)

Thank you very much @Ice Tigre.
In my humble opinion, I think I should have a Lamb foot!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

well, by the little bit of interaction with you here, it’s clear to me that your wit and verve is still quite grand! Be well, Gary
