New to me Buck 501 and a Stockyard Whittler
Congrats on the new Buck, Steve; knives from the 500 series look so svelte to me!

1960s Douk-Douk 'ED-DIB' "The Jackal" for Wednesday.
The blade looks familiar, but the handle art is new to me!

I showed the entire plum wood family in the WW thread, here is what I’m actually carrying today.

That plum wood is nice!

(Peachy?

)
Toting a couple of French slicers wearing wood.
Tres bien!

Today a RR Coal Miner with the logo rubbed off the blade (1500 wet'n'dry). Liking this one a lot, wish I could get it in carbon..............
I have a smooth tobacco bone Half Hawk that's the same pattern, and I agree it's a very likable knife!

2015 Black Micarta Bull Nose with re-covered OD Micarta small Tinker.
You're getting a lot of mileage lately from that cool micarta re-cover on your Tinker, Paul!

View attachment 1524827 Manny doesn’t care about knives, or posing for knife photos.
He has a stick!
I think the same has been true of
@Jack Black and
CelloDan
lately, Jeff!
Thank you, Gary. I feel the same way; except for my Ancient 2.0 (my favorite), my end favorite Barlow is the one I am carrying.
...
Gary, your Elinox Pen is one of those grail knives.

Your attitude about Barlows is good to have when you have so many nice ones, Dean!

Thanks for the kind remarks about the red Alox Secretary, Dean & Gus.

I found some info online about using tang stamps to date Pioneers, but determining an age range for that Secretary doesn't seem as easy. I'm provisionally going with pre-1975, but that's definitely subject to revision as I find more Victorinox tang stamp info.
For Wooden Wednesday, I carried my Case Sheepfoot in Walnut wood. Dismal day so the photo is subpar.

Splendid knife, Dean!

Thanks, Ross.
How time goes on! Considering at that time, we weren't sure what tomorrow would look like, and now it's a whole year later! Thanks for the reminder GT. Fun to go through that thread again

That was a cool GAW with lots of participation, Mike! I remember those "active" GAWs best, even though I usually don't remember who won or what was given away (unless I happened to be the winner

).
...
Surely enough, we were attacked by a hoard of Sasquatchs, but lucky enough for us I was carrying my trusty lambsfoot

...
So in a "Foot Fight", a gleaming Lamb beats multiple publicity-shy Bigs!

These two arrived today... my first ss Case (a full sized trapper), and a Behring Made Woodcraft.
...
Congrats on your first TruSharp Case, Tony! Hope you like it!

...
Good to see the Secretary and Pocket Pal together Gary. Nice-looking Kamp King I've been thinking of picking up myself, last year sure seems like a long time ago doesn't it?!

...
Thanks for all the kind thoughts folks, I was glad to get my first shot

Got my Hartshead Barlow in my right front pocket, and
@gunstockjack 's Watchpocket Barlow in my waistcoat pocket
Thanks for the compliments, Jack.

The start of the pandemic DOES seem like a long time ago!

Glad you got your first shot.

Fine pair you're toting today!

Really? That's quite a wait. Mine is March 31st.
From last night's pockets:
I have room for a couple more.
I have one word for you, Benjamin: jodhpurs. And I don't have any cowboy boots, but I can stick a few gaucho knives in my puttees.
Dress for success!!

Fine foursome you posted!

A great one to all.
Classic!

I used one that looks very similar to cut up vegetables for a casserole tonight! (My tang stamp has underline, but no "overline", and the company name on mine looks italicized:
CAMILLUS)
For Thursday... 3rd quarter report cards due today, so I'll be stuck in my office a lot.
Desirable duo, John!

I hope the report card session went OK.
Amazing!!
Dylan had it right:
She's got everything she needs, she's an artist
She don't look back

Dropped this in my pocket for thrifty Thursday, #6, I don’t carry it that much but every time I do I think, “I wonder why I don’t carry this more!” Great slicers!

I know the feeling, Todd.

Every time I use an Opinel, I wonder why I mess around with other knives if my only goal is to cut stuff.
1950s Douk-Douk 'La Baraka'
This variation is pretty rare...The Cross of Agadez is inverted and underneath is engraved "La Baraka".
Most often found is the model "EL Baraka" with the Cross in the upright position.

W!

How many surprises can you pull out of your Douk-Douk bag??!?
