I carried these two on my hike this morning.

On a 10-point scale, both 10s, Dean; the blue mini copperhead could well be an 11!

I've got these two strawberry Robeson jacks with me, one wearing bone and the other in "thrifty" Delrin.
Awesome Robeson strawberries, and cream rises to the top, JJ!

(Growing up on a dairy farm and drinking unhomogenized milk the first 17 years of my life, I fully understand the idiom "cream rises to the top", but I wonder how many people really "get it"?)
It’s melting

...
The white stuff that is ... not the knife.
Elegant knife, Dan!

...
I like the RR quite a bit, only slight fault in this one is a slightly uneven edge grind on the main. Nothing that wont sharpen out with time. I need to post it in the newest thread and the RR one as I've only had it since Monday.
Congrats on your new "dog bone jack", David!

Did it come with a whistle?
What a nice classic Stockman, GT.

Thanks, John.

That was a surprise knife that
@LastRodeo threw in on a trade a few years ago.

...
And for today, residing in my lfp is this Böker:
Those Böker Barlows are beauties!!

really great touches on this one!
Thanks, Tony.

I have a soft spot in my soul for sowbelly stock knives, and that Rough Rider is "pimped out" a little in a way I appreciate. (RR used to make an almost-identical model with pink bone covers, but I don't know if I'd buy it if the opportunity presented itself.)
...
Four fine-looking knives there GT
Carrying my Waynorth Lambsfoot today, and an Old Friend in the form of this Camillus BSA Whittler, which I won in one of
@r8shell 's generous giveaways

Have a good Friday folks

...
Thanks, Jack.

You posted a pair to be proud of as well!

This arrived yesterday, took nearly a month from England...
The Pruner is 10cm/4" closed, carbon blade with Bog Oak scales which are very well finished and look like Ebony except for grain. I asked for a stainless bolster as I dislike large amounts of brass on a knife and I think it suits it very well. I'm very pleased with the F&F no gaps, no play, blade centre, strong action, excellent finish on backspring and spring cut off, flush in open and closed. It's very welcome to get a knife that pleases you and is devoid of the 'but for this' factor

Roll on snow disappearing and getting out to prune
Congrats on the Barlowesque Pruner, Will!

I don't recall seeing a bolster that large on a pruner before (not that I'm a serious student of pruners

), but I like the way it looks!
Splendid pair, John!

(Props to Todd for his generosity!

)
50s-60s (Victoria stamped) Victorinox 'Secretary/Pal' in red Alox for Friday
-Background: Primus Omnilite Ti & Turkish coffee.
Very cool Secretary!

(I have a similar one, but "Victorinox" stamp, and "ELINOX" with crossbow stamp on other side, and a different "shield". I'm currently trying to learn more about using tang stamps to approximate the age of Victorinox knives. My best guess is that mine is considerably newer than yours, but older than 1975.)

A.Wright, a gift from
Old Engineer

, and a Camillus BSA 72. And some bearded iris making a welcome return.
These came from Grandma.

Couple of winners, Jeff!

I really like the walnut on your lambsfoot!
(I don't recognize any of the shoots in the back yard as irises, but I'm a kind of clueless gardener. We do have some pretty purple crocuses blooming now.)
Thanks for the rhyme, GT.

Do you think I was applying both word to the pair of knives, or do you think I was calling one knife dependable and the other commendable (and if so, which is which?)

Here are some more rhyming words, the first of which doesn't apply to your fine knives, but the 2nd and 3rd might: expendable, extendable, unbendable.
well, by the little bit of interaction with you here, it’s clear to me that your wit and verve is still quite grand! Be well, Gary
Thanks for the encouragement, Tony.

There are some who claim I've downsized my wit by 50%.
Thank you, sir. As a matter of fact, you bear most of the blame for that one!

Your tortoise canoe was what first caught my eye and started me looking.
Glad I could be an "inspiration".

I have both regular and mini canoe in tortoise shell from RR and they're a nice set.
Jack Black
might just as well start his 2021 knife of the year thread

, because I already know which one it will be
Just got this beautiful Masserin Plow in the mail from our generous friend
@Reaper AL .
Thank you so much Al !!!
...
...
Congrats on another fine sodbuster, Dan!

(Kudos to
@Reaper AL for his thoughtfulness and generosity!

)
Hats Off
JJ Cahill
thanks for the reminder

This one for the rest ‘o the day

That Barlow is a champ, Gus!

Admirable bone, blade combo, and especially bolster shape!
Put a couple of my favorites in my pocket today, a CJ Barlow slicer and a tough old Remington Scout.
Notable pairs, JJ & José!

...
Thank you, Gary. I wonder if Yejin chose Bliss because of the Asimov character.
I'm carrying my ebony GEC Huckleberry Boy's Knife for Black Friday.

She seems hardly old enough to be a fan of Asimov, but I'll have to see if I can work it into a conversation sometime.

That boy's knife is a stunner, Dean!

A very nice lineup today!

Nice knives Gary especially that Mohawk Canoe !
Great Group, Gary.

The AG Russel stag Canoe is Gorgeous.
...
Nice color on the mini canoe. Cool Barlow.

I like the look of your Case rough black Sodbuster Jr, Gary. (Great photo, too)

Thanks for the kind words on this week's carries, everyone; I appreciate the encouragement!
