What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Classic carry, Dean! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
(I wonder if Texans object to the word combination "small Texas"? :rolleyes:)

- GT

No, but the Alaskans think of it as the punchline to a joke. Thank you for your comment, Gary.

Wise words! :thumbsup:;):thumbsup:
My student Bliss happened to ask for help with a class assignment after class yesterday, and while we walked back to my office I asked her if she was familiar with Asimov. She'd never heard of him, and thought it was funny that I'd wonder if her name was inspired by "ancient" American science fiction. :p:D

Handsome new SBJr, Dean, and I saw in another thread that there's a 3-generations connection! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
Glad my knife was an inspiration. ;) I have a couple of patterns in Rough Black, and may pick up more eventually.

- GT

Thank you for your kind comments, Gary. Regarding Bliss thinking of Asimov's Foundation as "ancient" science fiction, I understand her comment. I'm old enough to be her grandfather and all three of the books in the original Foundation trilogy were written and published before I was born! :)

Great photo, Dean! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Thanks, Dean. :) I don't think of myself as a huge fan of the Barlow pattern, but the Hartshead Lambsfoot Barlow is an exception - one of my favorite knives.

- GT

Thank you, Gary. The Hartshead Barlow is a fine Barlow. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

The Boker is green for Saint Patrick's Day... Wood for Wooden Wednesday... That's a double win for you!!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I've seen that book recommended more than once
It's a great book, Jack.
It's all a collection of short stories, so you can invest as much time as you like.
He writes with great humor and insight. Being a fly fisherman yourself, you would enjoy it I'm sure.

I'm not actually carrying ANY of these for St. Patrick's Day
That one really should be carried today, it's perfect for Saint Patrick's Day. :cool::thumbsup:

That knife certainly deserves its favored status, John!
Thank you, GT.
It definitely has favored status since it's a wonderful pattern, very hard to find, and my kids helped me pick it and design the recover.

Smashing pair Tom :cool: :thumbsup:

You're very kind to me JJ, thank you :) :thumbsup:

I wish! :D Thanks Tony :) I'm looking forward to seeing your pic :cool: :thumbsup:

Not hard to see why those two terrific Trappers would be favourites JJ, they look stunning :) :thumbsup:

Have a great day everyone :thumbsup:

Thanks Jack, much appreciated! Fine selection you have today as well (and a tasty looking selection of libations :) ).

These two with me today.

Boffo brace of Bökers, Todd! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: Which one got to use the slip?
- GT
Thanks Gary! The Expedition did that day. The Club didn’t like it much, but was a perfect Gentleman. I know...that was a really bad joke! :)

Thanks John! I was going to post it in the WW thread but got busy as school and didn’t get around to it. :)
