What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I've had my last remaining guitar, a 1968 Gibson Hummingbird, in the closet for a few years now. I've been thinking of getting back to it. Maybe my grandkids will get a kick out of papa playing for them. I don't look forward to playing with barely any finger tip calluses though. They are mostly gone now, friends since 1964 when I got my first guitar at 14.

Gonna be a nice day in Central NY today. Have a peaceful and safe Sunday, my porch friends.

Definitely get your guitar out and play for your grandkids Gary. I play for my three and the youngest who will be 1 year old next week likes it the best. :D
Jeff, I can only echo what has been said by everyone else and I'm sorry this happened to your son. May God bless you.

The sun is out here in SoCal, good morning every one.

Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund -- I was moved by your remembrance the other day, but was reluctant to say anything due the inherent sadness of the matter. I volunteer to teach veterans through my University, through the Warrior-Scholar Project. In the course of doing so (going on four years now), I've heard many stories of great humor, intensity, injury, and heartbreaking loss. I'm truly sorry for yours. --Tony

Your Chickadee in flight is just an amazing photo, Dan! Award winning, I think.

Jeff, My condolences on your loss. The worst thing that can happen to a parent, in my estimation. I don't pretend to know what you and your family have been through. I did lose a granddaughter some years ago though, so maybe I can relate a little. All I know is I thank God everyday that my children and remaining grandchildren are healthy and safe.
That's a wonderful name for your guitar. Play it happily, please.

I’m sorry about your granddaughter, Gary. Yes, you can relate.
But I am at peace with it, and like you, thankful for what we have, and full of good memories.

I really respect anyone volunteering to help veterans, Aias!

Hey definitely get out that Hummingbird, Gary. An old Gibson acoustic needs to be played. I have a ‘55 J45 that probably has a slightly different voice than your ‘Bird, even as they both sound like Gibsons.
I’ll be accompanying a couple of vocalists at my niece’s wedding in June, but will have to use an electric acoustic so I can go through the PA. I believe that girl has invited over 350 of her closest friends.:D

That's what I'm missing in my collection. I nice stout Barlow. Great knife & pic!

Thanks. I missed these initially and then a dealer had a few extras but at a higher price and I jumped on it. While I was waiting for it to arrive I definitely had some buyers remorse. Once I opened it however, that all went away. This is easily my favorite GEC.
