still going strong with the Lloyd

This Moki Kronos. I fell in love with the vendor's pictures. The reality is even better. VG10 was specifically developed to be blade steel. It holds an edge noticeably better than 440C. Very fine grained. Very corrosion resistant. Moki hardens it to around 60. The blade shape is perfect for me. While I find wide blades to be aesthetically pleasing, a narrower blade gets into all the small places. The cutting geometry is also just right. Thick enough to be robust, but slices like a demon. The locking action is crisp and it locks up like a bank vault. The covers are lovely. The handle shape feels as if it were custom fit to my hand. Even the sheath is amazing. The outside is a heavy olive fabric, the inside is leather. I've not carried a folder in a belt sheath for years, but I like this one a lot.

That looks like a nice one, Frank! Moki makes a real nice knife, and I'd say you got one of them.

Frank....

carried the toothpick in the top center of this photo. made by queen city cutlery. been working on sharpening it and it got a lot better after a bit of time on a norton stone and a honing/rasping on the bottom of a coffee cup.

still consider myself a mediocre sharpener but i can see the light at the end of the tunnel and there is where i will consider myself a competent sharpener. this particular blade has a sort of a 'swale' in the center that is a challenge to sharpen.

Off over to Sheffield to see my grandaughter today, so I'll be carrying this vintage Wostenholme, which I bought on the day of her birth :)
