I'm hopping to go see "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" today, I hope, I hope , I hope!

The suspense of seeing this and how the ebony #15 and #16 GECs turn out are killing me!

Very interesting Laguiole Rossignol!
Never saw one with an attachment ring before...
Thanks! Yeah, this is the only one I've seen. The ring makes a nice spot to attach a clip (like a Nite Ize size 0) so I can hang it in my pocket.

Gary, the Foster hunter (as do nearly all of his knives) almost made me wet my pants! What a beauty!

That Buck 110 looks pretty cool and unique. Do you do that mod yourself or did you buy it from Buck that way?

It was more like, retrieve it from mailbox, run to the garage and take a quick picture to fool Jack (it worked!), then hold it in my hot little hand while driving to and fro on the PA Turnpike, being careful not to hand it to a Toll worker when paying my fare. With the Russell still in my pocket, of course.

Looks really nice!
(I think the bolster stamp stands for "Thanks, Charlie!")

This Moki Kronos. I fell in love with the vendor's pictures. The reality is even better. VG10 was specifically developed to be blade steel. It holds an edge noticeably better than 440C. Very fine grained. Very corrosion resistant. Moki hardens it to around 60. The blade shape is perfect for me. While I find wide blades to be aesthetically pleasing, a narrower blade gets into all the small places. The cutting geometry is also just right. Thick enough to be robust, but slices like a demon. The locking action is crisp and it locks up like a bank vault. The covers are lovely. The handle shape feels as if it were custom fit to my hand. Even the sheath is amazing. The outside is a heavy olive fabric, the inside is leather. I've not carried a folder in a belt sheath for years, but I like this one a lot.

Nice! I've got a Moki today as well. I thought it was the Ares model, but I could be mistaken. Mine's 3.75" closed. I can echo everything you've said about yours. Custom quality fit & finish, rock-solid lockup, excellent steel... just a REALLY nice little pocket knife, all the way around.
Here's a quick (lousy) snapshot of mine.

I think it is a Ares model. It's essentially the same as the Kronos except that it has red jigged bone. Both come in small (3.75) and large (4 1/8) and all seem to come rather well made:)

Still waiting on my Moki Blakiston's Fish Owl....!!
