What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Earlier today just my peanut, but the nut is now joined by its big brother 1970 red bone Case 62087 courtesy of Paul Hilborn, & my first Buck a 301 stockman also courtesy of Paul.

not that i was overly influenced by the above post...but i DO think i am going to carry this with me tomorrow

the reason is that i have not been able to get my bucks very sharp. But i've been practicing and i finally was able to get the edge about where i want it. For some reason they seem alot harder to sharpen than my gec/case carbon steel knives. But i kept at it, seems i have to use a much more acute angle on the stone (free handing here) must be the saber grind :p

Andi, I just got it from Flatlander over in the Buck forum. He had it re-bladed with S30V and then had someone put some orange G-10. It also has blue liners. I like it a lot.

That Buck 110 looks pretty cool and unique. Do you do that mod yourself or did you buy it from Buck that way?

In the city all day again today, so just carrying my wee Thomas Turner penknife :)

I got this little beauty about a week ago. I had the concelex sheath sown into the inside of my leather jacket. McAhron neck knife will be there everyday from now on. I REALLY like this little knife. And the more I use it I like it even more.

The ground is pure mush here from all the rain, but at least it's a bit colder today. Maybe I'll take the dog for a hike.

This one is in my pocket--extremely solid, well made sodbuster.

Something new today. I was carrying this knife the last two days, not because of any real conscious effort, but just the convenience of there it was so I picked it up.

I really like the checkered bone on this model and it is a great EDC, especially for the price. I carried it this morning and used it to open a priority mail small flat rate box with this in it:

I promptly put it in my pocket as well. This is a knife any boy would love, and I'm no exception. The nifebrite covers have a "luminosity" about them even outside in the bright light of day (I took this pic with my body providing the shade). It's right in the sweet spot of my size and being a single blade slip joint, fits right in to my knife psyche as well. A home run in my book. More pics and impressions later.

Thanks Ed.

It's an amazing piece of work for sure. I could stare at it all day ....
I had it made a few years back. I don't carry it often as the springs are a little tighter then I prefer now.
