Thanks Gary, and why not some more Jack for today View attachment 1533665and a great one to all.

This came in today, not to be carried though, just in close proximity for the evening...

a great night to all:)
You're on a roll with the clip/pen jacks, Gus; congrats on the splendid Remington!:cool::cool:

...
For Thrifty Thursday, I'll carry my newest project: the Barlow you sent me last year.
I'm not sure if I'm finished with it, but I do know I like the uneven coloring of the bone.

Holy Horny Horse! That looks fantastic!:thumbsup::cool: If you can do a unicorn, you can do a centaur, and if you can do a centaur, you can do a mermaid, and if you can do a mermaid, you can do a jackalope, and ... My mind boggles at your capabilities! :D

View attachment 1533692 Kind of a dank day, so a couple of old favorites bringing the sunshine.
...
Very cool pair, Jeff!:thumbsup::cool: For some reason, your comment triggered memories of one of the first choruses I ever learned in Sunday School, called "Heavenly Sunshine". ;)

Thanks Gary, not my first 85, but it is my first Dead Skunk:eek::D I'm likin the Camper also:thumbsup:

Be well Gary:)
Thanks, Paul, and same to you. :)

Thanks Gary, I sure hope so  Thankfully not, I'd be lost without it  ;)
...
Your phrase could inspire an interesting philosophical debate, Jack: when a knife goes missing, has the owner lost the knife, or has the knife lost the owner?!?:rolleyes:

Well, here's my pic of the day--I'm totin the 42 again, as well as this, in honor of Greek Independence Day

Premium pair and cool sawcut wood background!:cool::thumbsup:

Todays totes are a Stockman from Case and a Gunstock from GEC. :)
Fantastic Forty-seven, JJ! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

I carried my Schrade Cut Co. Barlow on my trail hike today.

Thanks for the photos of your hike, Dean! That Schrade Barlow has such memorable jigging!:cool::cool:

I don't carry a Barlow often enough but today I pocketed this solid and well built winter bottom bone S&M. Paired it with a olive wood Maserin Hunter.
Cloudy day pic from the picnic table at my shop.

That wood on your Maserin is superb, Greg!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks GT! Yes, both red, one for go and one for show, so to speak :)
...
Thanks for the info, Tom. :)

The colors on that bottom knife always catch my eye, José!:thumbsup::cool:

You are well served with that Stockman.:thumbsup:
Thanks, John. :) To me, that's pretty much what an ideal stockman should look like: rounded bolsters, sunk joints, low-riding sheepsfoot, slender clip (and stag or even fake stag).

A quartet of beauties, Gary; the stag covers on your Buck are amazing!:thumbsup::thumbsup::D
That is a gorgeous Buck canoe GT
Thanks for the canoe comments, JJ & Tom. :) That stag Buck was something I didn't even know existed and I happened to run across it on the website for some little company in Idaho near Buck's area. When I went to the site a few days later, no stag canoes listed any more - I wonder if I lucked into the last one.

Dutch is tricky. It sounds like an English speaker pretending to speak German or a German speaker pretending to speak English.
...
The first time I visited Holland, as a teenager, I accidentally said 'thankyou' in German, and was politely reprimanded, and told, "We do not mind speaking French or English, but even though we understand it, we hate to speak German." Of course, even though they have a similar language, the Dutch laugh at the Belgians, and vice-versa! :D
What complicates my situation with my immigrant grandparents is that the few Dutch words they taught me were probably actually Frisian, since they always made it clear they came from Friesland, not just the Netherlands at large. ;)

The sawcut wood handles are something I'd sure like to see more of - very special knife, Taylor!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

...
Quality quartet Gary, though I did have to laugh at the Christmas RR :D That Buck is a beauty

Carrying my Bagpipe Ebony Lambsfoot today, and an Old Friend kindly gifted to me by Peregrin Peregrin :)

Thanks, Jack. :) That my Christmas canoe happened to show up near Easter on my rotation schedule is something that you, the creator of Random Tuesday carries, should appreciate! ;):p
You're sporting a pair of which you can be proud!:cool::thumbsup:

Monsieur Poirot?? Regardless, I really like the monocle!! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Choices...
I could flip it for a large profit.
I can put it in a safe and only take it out for pictures.
Or I can pocket it, and use it, and enjoy it as much as possible.
Do you think I made the right decision? ;) :D:thumbsup:

It's certainly the decision I would have made :cool::thumbsup: (but that sure doesn't make it the right decision ).

Mine sat in the safe since I bought it on release in ‘16. Finally decided to enjoy & use it while I still can. You made the right choice :)

That's a beauty, John! If I really like a knife it gets carried and used. I don't spend too much time thinking about the monetary implications. YMMV

Felt like a "Fancy Friday" to me! I picked this one up because it reminded me of the Lake Interframe collaboration I'd been chasing for a decade or better. Then @Gary W. Graley put one up for sale and I was lucky enough to get it.
TGIF!

Thank you Jack, I'm liking the acrylic quite a bit:thumbsup: enjoy your weekend my friend, with your dynamic duo you are covered for most anything:)

@Old Engineer
When you put it that way pal, it just may make a round or two... That’s just the deepest way to put it isn’t it??
JohnDF JohnDF
Dunno pal, only you can find that answer.
I have so many blades as users, that I don’t find myself within that same quandary often. When it does happen, I usually will do the same. I will also find another for that “fresh” feel, if and when possible. That one’s certainly not an easy find.
@Jack Black
Thank you as well my friend!
It wasn’t an easy one to chase down. It’s also at 3” 15/16ths which is so sweet!

Yes indeed Gary, a great week with some nice drops at home! The 86 has been with me for a while though.

For today’s carry, another sharp beaut.

In my opinion John, absolutely you made the right decision!
While maybe not as desirable as your TC, the knife I’m chasing, 14 tortoise, is a grail for me, and I fully intend on using it when I find one.

Today though, it’s these two, Ebony and Buffalo Horn.

Yes, I've been corrected as well, though it too was years ago--my Dutch buddy is now quite used to me and my sense of humor ;)

So, another trapper for today... back to this one:
