What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Just bummin around the house today. Nothing planned except the daily run up to the mailboxes. This Schrade Fire & Ice Trapper by GEC should do.

You made the right choice
Thanks, I agree with you. :)

I don't spend too much time thinking about the monetary implications.
Me neither.
I think more about the collect ability than the monetary value.
To me, every knife is worth retail... no matter what the secondary market says.

That is what Tom would have done
For sure, he would have. :D:thumbsup:

I'm glad you agree. :)

Absolutely gorgeous Harness jack. :cool::thumbsup:

That's such a good looking Trapper. :cool::thumbsup:

I have so many blades as users, that I don’t find myself within that same quandary often.
I tend to thin the herd quite often and only have a hand full that are real "users".
This one just said it wanted to be used, and who am I to argue. I think it will look better with age. :cool::thumbsup:

That one’s certainly not an easy find.
That's the one thing that gave me hesitation...
It's not the value, but taking an example out of the collector ranks.
It's not like a Case knife where you know they'll make more. ;)

you made the right decision!
Thanks, I agree. :)

Choices...
I could flip it for a large profit.
I can put it in a safe and only take it out for pictures.
Or I can pocket it, and use it, and enjoy it as much as possible.
Do you think I made the right decision? ;) :D:thumbsup:

No, you only made half the right decision. The complete right decision would have been to take that Stag Hartshead Barlow that you have and used it right alongside that Tom's Choice.

The Hartshead is my weakness... I may never be strong enough to actually use it.
To me, the Hartshead is like a museum piece and needs to be preserved for future generations.

You can preserve it used for future generations just as well as unused for future generations. At least take it out and cut a piece of sting with it.:eek::rolleyes: Maybe even test it on your arm to see if it's "hair poppin" sharp.

Anyway, nice Tom's Choice John.

Nice work. :thumbsup: A unicorn on unicorn ivory?
Just humble bovine bone on that one. I do have a unicorn ivory Barlow, but I believe the material is impervious to ink. ;)

Holy Horny Horse! :eek: That looks fantastic! :cool::thumbsup::cool: If you can do a unicorn, you can do a centaur, and if you can do a centaur, you can do a mermaid, and if you can do a mermaid, you can do a jackalope, and ... My mind boggles at your capabilities!
Thanks! I ordered a few more RRs in white bone this week. You've got me thinking the equestrian knife with hoofpick should get adorned with Pegasus. The marlin spike mariner's knife is a whole other set of decisions...
