I’m in Texas this week visiting my in-laws for Easter holiday. Just brought these two: a perfect old traditional and a perfect modern traditional.

Two Sun slip joint horn covers and damascus blade, steel liners and looks like nickel silver bolsters. Blade is ground thin so it cuts well and overall handles well too handle being just under 1/2" thick so it's hefty.

I've read some say that it's not real damascus but along the spine you can see the layers as well. So I am thinking it really is damascus, how well it is hardened? time will tell, it arrived pretty sharp.
