What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks for the kind words, walt!

Otter is making nice knives in Solingen, Germany. I fear, they are not as common in the US as they are in Germany. But I really like these knives very much! :)

I agree with both of you fellows about the Vic Climber. Mine is a recent acquisition (bottom knife in both pictures), and I like carrying it. The Fieldmaster, shown on top, has been with me for over 25 years (I recently replaced the cracked cellidor handles with nylon). I may just slip the Gardener in my pocket before I leave. Its slender profile will fit nicely in my suit pocket as I attend two funerals today.

I put this little Ohta Swayback in my jeans watch pocket this morning. At 2 7/8" (peanut sized) it's a perfect fit and a handy about town EDC.

I just can't get enough of the OHTA!!! Perfection.

Thanks! It was his stag that originally caught my attention. I don't know where he finds it. I've got 4 made by Hiroaki and they are all just about perfect.

The ground is pure mush here from all the rain, but at least it's a bit colder today.
Daniel, for some reason that sentence struck me as funny... Sorta like:
"Gosh, I sure am broke, but at least my truck broke down too!" ;)

Today, I've got my Opinel 10 and Moki Ares again.

These are great honest working knives IMO. The patterns are very similiar to Sheffield pocket knives, but I have to say that the fit and finish and overall quality is considerably better than what's produced in Sheffiel;d these days. I'd never heard of Otter knives before, but am very grateful to Andi for sending me this :)

I see you've got your burglar's bar as well... Slip that into your back pocket for the trip to town? ;)

I picked that up for next to nothing in a local hardware store recently, about 6" long. With all the recent talk (on another thread) about what a traditional knife will and won't do, I thought it'd make a good pic :)
