What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Hi Vince, it's been a long time! :)

Filets mignons ;)
I had a hiccup when I read "rare", then I remembered you're speaking of beef meat. Here filet mignon refers to pork meat.

Be careful : n Belgium if you order a filet américain they serve a steack tartare (raw minced steack):D
Bonjour, Alain, et merci! My French is not too good. Yes, they were beef steaks, and very delicious.:thumbsup:

Couple of Buck 55's this evening

One from 2014 that I modified the handle for darker uniform color and nice texture
I also added a blade choil at the tang. I made it my own
And one brand new one with handle of genuine ebony wood from Taylor Guitars

One may see some work and the other some lovin'
That new one is pretty gritty and needs a bath ... had a girl like that once

Very slow fishing day, just one stocker rainbow caught on a junk fly. When I got home however, I had a nice mailbox surprise ...

I did not use the 38 whittler to spatchcock this chicken but figured I'd throw in a photo anyway ...

The family and I had a great Easter weekend. Carried the stag Cody scout but didn’t happen to snag a picture.
After 70-80 degrees the last couple days most of the garden has germinated at this point.
Stallion in cougar clawed bone today (along with a Krein caper).
No picture of the Krein? I’d like to see it if you have a picture.

Those are four really nice photos!;)

Very handy pair of pocket knives, Jack.:thumbsup:

I have the day off from work (sorta), I still have to prep...
So, something for heavy yard work, and something for Micarta Monday...

Thanks John, back at you there buddy :)

Carried a Redmeadow Pocket Blade this weekend hiking and on Easter (66 today while getting poked in the arm). Redmeadow has a sub forum here if anyone is interested in checking out John’s work. Some Porch members participate there. The blade is nice and leather work is also very well done. Always a pleasure communicating with John or seeing what he’s up to.

Nice lines

that’s great, Jack! Good to get them started young, learning how to carve and handle knives safely

He told me that his grandmother was quite pleased with it, and I thought, she must be pleased as Punch! :)

I'm going with ebony and shunkle today.

:D

Thanks, Jack! By the way, I did have lamb at my son's house, but I much preferred the 2 1/2 filet mignons (or is that "filets mignon"?)--rare--that I also had.

Sounds like you had a great Easter weekend Vince :)

Thanks Jack!!! I have been seeing r8shell r8shell s Barlow with the same covers made under the eye of the same guy. :)

Can't go wrong with the super handy and attractive Farmer to tag along with your Hartshead beauty!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Grabbed these two this morning before I ran out of the door. :)

Thanks a lot JJ, that's a lucky grab my friend :)

Brought this guy out of retirement!! 2 minutes of stropping, and it's sharp!!

Looking good Charlie :)

Just waiting for some workmen to come fit a new front door - it took one guy to fit the previous one, this time they're sending FOUR! o_O Got my Hartshead Barlow, and a Random Tuesday RR

That Robeson is sweet! :cool::thumbsup:

I'd take that for a day of fishing... catching one is just a bonus.

Looks amazing with some honest wear.:thumbsup:

That way you feel like you got your moneys worth when they over-charge you. ;)

A couple of hard working knives right there, I like 'em.:thumbsup:
