A great Friday and weekend to all!
Congrats on that big old Robeson, Gus!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

That's a good looking pattern, GT. What does it measure?
Thanks, John. :) That RR stockman is 3 3/8" closed, which I consider to be in the medium stockman range.

Happy Friday All.
Gateway to a good weekend.
For Black Friday; Boker Barlow in Black Wood and A Wright Lamb in Ebony...

Dignified Black Friday pair, John!:cool::thumbsup:

The 86 tortoise came in handy at the track meet last night. I’m the pole vault coach and one of my kids broke a bar, had to open a brand new one. It was wrapped tightly in cardboard and plastic wrap. A spectator walked up and said, “You need a knife coach?” I smiled and said, “Nope, I’ve got one!” ;)
Now I just hope I don’t get turned in for brandishing a weapon on school grounds!:rolleyes:
Have these two with me today, getting a little fancy for Friday.:)

Good story, Todd, and an impressive gold/black combo!:cool::thumbsup:

What a concept! Do I dare?

That Daedalus reminds me of "Kilroy Was Here"! ;):cool:

Just a Western #425 today.

That's a superb punch stockman!:cool::cool: I don't have an example of that pattern, but I suddenly think I want to get one.

I'm carrying my Buck 303 stockman today.

Your Buck Cadet is a great Black Friday choice, Dean!:thumbsup::cool:

Splendid Challenge jack, Steve! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

“Looking good” ~ I see what you did there:cool:
Speaking of lenses, I have been doing that with contacts for years. Left one is weaker for close up, right is corrected for distance. It really works, because the brain only acknowledges the eye that’s in focus.
Unfortunately, I think I need to upgrade:oops:

and I appreciate your kind comment on my knives, mi amigo.
Glad you saw what I did, Jeff; you must be looking good, too! ;)
I have a colleague who wears her contacts like you do and says it's the best way to go.

I feel very lucky to own these two...so in the pocket they go. Not gonna say I used them today...but trying to get over the “honeymoon.”

Definitely a major "Wow Factor" for the wood on your pair of knives!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Went looking for a cheap tl-29 to recover and this one caught my eye. Never got the cheap one to recover just this classic. Think I may have a problem.
Congrats on the cool Case TL-29!:cool::thumbsup:

The Queen whittler is a sort of replacement too, for the small stockman that suffered a broken back. Good thing I had a couple more spare Queens.:thumbsup:

Yeah, I read the sad busted spring story in another thread, but I'd say it's a story with a happy ending since you're carrying that classic Queen whittler!:cool::thumbsup:

I guess that great minds think a like my friend . I just happen to have dropped a twin of your 38 in one of my pockets also with the English Whittler .
IMHO they both are very nice knives and some of best that GEC has done .

...
Edited to add : Like you , I do not see me parting with either one in my life time .
Harry
Thanks for the comparison shot of the 38s, Harry!:cool::cool: I hadn't realized they had identical bolsters; a notable pair!

Thank you as always Gary, a smooth carry for certain:):thumbsup:
@Bloefield
You don’t see many of these anymore...
Yours is an earlier build, yet this one commissioned by Camillus is also really well made. Thicker blades than your average muskrat, wood laminate covers, extremely sharp and stainless:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Western model W236.

Another great choice for the week, Gary.:thumbsup:;)

Looks like you're well set up mind, Sodbuster shows its enduring strengths  I've never had AMERICAN Peanut butter so I remain in a position of inferiority :( Nor Grape Jelly (Jam) either but it sounds good :) My favourite is Sour Cherry.
That Sodbuster is a winner, but I do not recommend American peanut butter. It took me a while to get used to the real stuff that actually tastes like peanuts, rather than the sugar, salt, and hydrogenated oils I was used to.

I'll carry a Jumbo Case and some sort of SAK with a screwdriver today. Next week is our semiannual Bulky Item Pickup, and I said I'd help a friend haul a few things to the curb.

Besides being a gorgeous spring Sunday morning, and a generally good day to be alive and counting your blessings, it is also our 40th anniversary.
Well past the test drive, and into the probationary period. If I keep my head down, and don’t crank the amp up too loud, and keep up with my chores, maybe she’ll let me stick around awhile.

We have noon reservations at a real nice joint about an hour away, so I’m trying for a light to moderate breakfast. I will have these on me~ The Camco scout had shrunken and cracked genuine jigged plastic scales, but everything else was dead mint. Buffalo horn is packaged in a mesh bag with a barcoded label and is marketed as doggie chews in walmart. I think it makes great knife handles. Polishes like glass, and though they’re hard to photograph, it has nice little highlights in it.View attachment 1552876

Great pattern, great size, great blade combo... looks like it's a winner.:thumbsup:

Dignified Black Friday pair, John!
