:D
Beautiful! My Ebony Barlow should be here with the mail any minute now. I am going to wrap it and put it under the tree until tomorrow though. Well, maybe just a quick peek first... ;)

...
carrying the little toothpick in the top center of this photo as well as a full size rough rider toothpick with some appealingly gaudy southwestern u.s.-themed handles. have to get some pix up later.

I hope to see these pics. Although I'd only admit it here in the privacy of this public forum (;)), I do love a little "appealing gaudiness" every now and then! :D

I slipped this in my pocket this morning before going out to plow snow. I wanted to see how it rides in the pocket when in a cramped position while operating my tractor and while driving. It did fine. Looks like it'll fit into my EDC rotation nicely.

We're going over to my Niece's house tonight for Christmas Eve dinner and we'll exchange gifts with her family and others tonight. I'm giving my Nephew a knife exactly like the one pictured. I give him a couple/three knives every year for Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year to all. I hope everyone's Holiday Observeances whatever they are are joyous for all.

Well, I hesitated but for a day, then decided I had to try this offering. It's the Huckleberry boys knife in rust red bone. I chose the single blade since I already have many two blade jacks. I am also trending toward smaller and lighter, hence my affinity for GEC's 25's. Anyway on to the pics.

Fit and quality are excellent! And the redbone speaks to me.

Merry Christmas guys! I have my BF 2011 in my pocket but tomorrow morning I'll have my 2012 which will reside with me the whole year. Should be fun seeing it change over the year as I carry it.

These two today:

Wow, that red bone looks terrific! I had a hard time deciding between all the handles, finally went with the Nifebrite Huckleberry Jack version. This could be another one of those GEC's that I'll end up with more than one, including the ebony and bone.

The nifebrite was tempting and sounded fun, but this redbone caught my eye right away. I think it'll look better and better as the years go by! Whichever handles one chooses, there's goodness in the design underneath that makes this one a winner.

Still carrying the Boker stockman jack with its 440C blades and olive wood covers.

well, i brought the sak
and it wasnt needed all night :/

i did get a little whittling in while i was waiting on the niece and nephews to arrive
found an old dead branch, no idea what kind, but it was real hard wood.
dulled my wenger SI so quickly i actually had to touch it up before the kids arrived.

i am back to my carbon steel pocket knives, i was seriously disappointed in how quickly the sak steel went butter knife dull on me (like 15-20 minutes of whittling)

i suppose i am going to have to go back and find another branch and try again with one of my carbon steel knives, just to see if i am not being overly harsh
but dang!

anyways, got home and put this back into my pocket

For old time's sake, I've been using my Jack Black Knives U1 this morning...

Leaving shortly to be with my wife's family for Christmas, and I can say with near 100% certainty that my son and I will each have peanuts in our pockets.

Edited to say I may also take the Vic Climber, which would make my Christmas Day carry look like this:
