A worn and scarred old warrior. Boy what a Bowie.
150+yrs to get to right about ... here ...

Not my Bowie or one like I have. Well, steel is similar I guess.
His looks to me to be a Wostenholm or Manhattan. If not, they copied it maybe.
But is it really a Sheffield Bowie? ... wouldn't be shocked to learn it's a Sheffield Dagger.
Just an interesting picture ... and maybe one day I'll ask him

I am continuing to wrestle with my new camera and its software - hence my limited posts as of late. Regardless, I am carrying these two today - one old and one new. The bone on both is a pleasure in hand.

Nice choice, the micarta is my favorite of the run. I’m not sure how y’all carry these GECs and keep the blade patina free. I gave up years ago and just allow everything to patina.
