Pair of champions there, Greg!:cool::thumbsup:

Thank you, my friend. I do consider those two as being in the group of my classier knives.;)
Boker did a real nice job on the Club knife I received. Yours looks nice too.
Thanks, Gary. Yes nicely done indeed, a bit pricey for my knife budget but I certainly was not disappointed in the quality when it arrived.

Convexing and sharpening a 30+ years old Laiti leuku for a small overnight trip to the woods. I bought this from Inari, very northernmost parts of Finland during our honeymoon. My son used it on his scout trips and it showed. I did a thorough resharpening and oiled and waxed the worn sheath. Now it is ready for new adventures.

Dandy covers on that pair of Schrades, Jeff!:thumbsup::cool:

Going easy on the pockets with these two old shadow pens for Sunday. :)
Your dark shadows are dramatic, JJ!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Osage! Really like the Barlow in saw cut!
Delectable pair of osage oranges, Taylor!:cool::thumbsup:

Cool knives Gary, really like the contrast on your Case swayback. 😎👍
Really Gorgeous Case Swayback, GT. 🤠
...
Those chestnut swayback’s are great!
Very nice Chestnut handles GT. OH
Thanks for the compliments, folks. :) I'm very fond of the several Case chestnut jigged bone CV knives I have. There's a surprising (to me) amount of variation in the color among those knives, and the Swayback Jack has very desirable coloration.

So it has been four or five days since Mom Turkey and her four younguns decided that our backyard was home. When they first came, I saw them just before letting Manny out, just averting a bloody massacre.

Another delightful installment of the tales of the turkey family, Jeff!:cool::cool:

This one has become my default Sunday knife. Pretty much every Sunday morning, my son and I go to the skatepark. I like the nice slim profile of the SAK in my pocket when I’m flailing around. I’m terrible, but it’s fun!

You and your Cadet are a daring pair of skaters, Sacto! 😲:cool:

Have a good week everyone :) Starting mine with my 2019 Guardians Lambsfoot SFO, and a Metal Monday Boker Atlas

Deluxe choices, Jack! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

I carry today this French Farol.

Your "whale" is very distinctive, José!:thumbsup::cool:

Case knives have become much more enjoyable to use once I learned how to fix the centering.
Do you happen to have a link to a description of how to fix blade centering?

Happy Monday everyone! Made it home late last night from our trip to the coast. Great weekend with family celebrating my niece, who graduated high school and is off to university in the Fall.

Had a very pleasant bonus yesterday afternoon. We got to spend a couple of hours visiting at the @waynorth homestead. Charlie put up with us (and the almost 100 degree heat) in his lovely backyard, where he shared some of his collection and conversation. He sent us back to Calgary with a pretty awesome hat, and for today I just had to put the Harness Jack in the pocket :) Thanks again Charlie!

Sounds like a dynamite trip, Mike!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Three smashing knives Gary :)
Thanks for your encouragement, Jack. :)

Getting ready for the 4th this week. Finishing up the little wall at the back of the beach I started before I jacked up my back, and putting up some lights and fans on the dock and bar. I almost switched from my Jack to the 86 in Micarta for today but, I’ve decided to stick with the Jack. 😊View attachment 1591058
Dreamboat of a knife for your dock, Todd!:cool::thumbsup:
I can hear you singing this song to your Texas Jack:

That pair is divine, Paul!:cool::thumbsup:

Carrying my Schatt and Morgan this Monday. Have a nice week everyone

Dependable pattern, and welcome to The Porch!:cool::cool:

Coupling up my gifted Boker jack with this 206 barlow. Thanks, John!View attachment 1591064View attachment 1591061@JohnDF ~ I was going to tell you, although you probably already know, this Boker jack started life as a TL-29 electrician! I looked up the model number that’s on the tang, 9229 (with the cool tree between the 2s). I guess the 29 should have been a clue!
No wonder I like it! When it’s not in my pocket, it has a cozy home in the cigar box dedicated to TL-29s I have modded. Whoever did the blade delete did an excellent job of putting it back together ~ was it you?
That explains why I had such a sense of deja vu when you first posted that Böker, Jeff!:thumbsup::cool:

I enjoy and appreciate your kind comments as well as the effort to manipulate the multile quotes!
About that Boker... the ONLY other Boker in my knife drawer, before John sent me the single blade jack, was a 9229 electrician ~ ungelded like yours. Mine, however, has “woodgrain” delrin, instead of the sawcut.
I think the sawcut looks much better, and that sure makes for a slim but sturdy jack knife after the blade delete.

Possibly the prettiest knife I own, at least to me, and a strong contender for my "wedding knife" when I get married next month.

Yes, the pearly swirly definitely is a looker.
Don’t get frosting in the joints!
I didn’t consciously choose a wedding knife back then. I can pretty well narrow it down to either of two Schrades, or possibly a little Buck Lancer, because that was it.

I've already been told, in no uncertain terms, that I am not allowed to cut the cake with my knife. 😂
