Another delightful installment of the tales of the turkey family, Jeff!So it has been four or five days since Mom Turkey and her four younguns decided that our backyard was home. When they first came, I saw them just before letting Manny out, just averting a bloody massacre.

You and your Cadet are a daring pair of skaters, Sacto! This one has become my default Sunday knife. Pretty much every Sunday morning, my son and I go to the skatepark. I like the nice slim profile of the SAK in my pocket when I’m flailing around. I’m terrible, but it’s fun!

Your "whale" is very distinctive, José!
Do you happen to have a link to a description of how to fix blade centering?Case knives have become much more enjoyable to use once I learned how to fix the centering.
Sounds like a dynamite trip, Mike!Happy Monday everyone! Made it home late last night from our trip to the coast. Great weekend with family celebrating my niece, who graduated high school and is off to university in the Fall.
Had a very pleasant bonus yesterday afternoon. We got to spend a couple of hours visiting at the @waynorth homestead. Charlie put up with us (and the almost 100 degree heat) in his lovely backyard, where he shared some of his collection and conversation. He sent us back to Calgary with a pretty awesome hat, and for today I just had to put the Harness Jack in the pocketThanks again Charlie!

Dreamboat of a knife for your dock, Todd!Getting ready for the 4th this week. Finishing up the little wall at the back of the beach I started before I jacked up my back, and putting up some lights and fans on the dock and bar. I almost switched from my Jack to the 86 in Micarta for today but, I’ve decided to stick with the Jack.View attachment 1591058
That pair is divine, Paul!
Dependable pattern, and welcome to The Porch!Carrying my Schatt and Morgan this Monday. Have a nice week everyone

That explains why I had such a sense of deja vu when you first posted that Böker, Jeff!Coupling up my gifted Boker jack with this 206 barlow. Thanks, John!View attachment 1591064View attachment 1591061@JohnDF ~ I was going to tell you, although you probably already know, this Boker jack started life as a TL-29 electrician! I looked up the model number that’s on the tang, 9229 (with the cool tree between the 2s). I guess the 29 should have been a clue!
No wonder I like it! When it’s not in my pocket, it has a cozy home in the cigar box dedicated to TL-29s I have modded. Whoever did the blade delete did an excellent job of putting it back together ~ was it you?

Thanks for the compliments, folks.I'm very fond of the several Case chestnut jigged bone CV knives I have. There's a surprising (to me) amount of variation in the color among those knives, and the Swayback Jack has very desirable coloration.

Wonderful photo, Corto_Malt ~ as usual.
Knives intertwine with family memories...Convexing and sharpening a 30+ years old Laiti leuku for a small overnight trip to the woods. I bought this from Inari, very northernmost parts of Finland during our honeymoon. My son used it on his scout trips and it showed. I did a thorough resharpening and oiled and waxed the worn sheath. Now it is ready for new adventures.

Yes, the pearly swirly definitely is a looker.Possibly the prettiest knife I own, at least to me, and a strong contender for my "wedding knife" when I get married next month.

Don’t get frosting in the joints!
I didn’t consciously choose a wedding knife back then. I can pretty well narrow it down to either of two Schrades, or possibly a little Buck Lancer, because that was it.
