What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Went with my newest today. The side to side blade play did bother me a bit so I fixed that. Such a comfortable knife to use

Holy Cow!!!!!!! I've got to prepare to "Repel Boarders" and warn the people at the Wagon Wheel Cafe that a Marauder ( JohnDF JohnDF ) is on the loose in the area - maybe in our very town. Most importantly, I've got to tell the people at the Wagon Wheel Cafe that no matter how good a friend of mine he claims to be not to let him put anything on my tab. This calls for some thing a little bigger than pocket carry so, I'm gonna break this out and keep a sharp lookout for any strange vehicles on the road.

I've got this in my pocket too. A thoughtful gift from the Marauder who's evidently in my neck of the woods today.

Splendid knife! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:
Thanks for recommending the novels. I checked out the first Joe Pickett novel from the local library a couple of days ago, and I'm enjoying it very much (even though I've never even visited Wyoming). I'm a big fan of the Woods Cop series of novels by Joseph Heywood about a conservation officer in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. (The first of that series was published a year before the first Joe Pickett book.) And my wife recently read a book in a series by Nevada Barr about a female national park ranger; my wife thought it was good and planned to read more books from the series. (The first of that series apparently was published 8 or 9 years before the series with the male protagonists started.) Who knew there were so many books to write about these "niche" law enforcement officers?

Thanks for pointing those out! I'll have to try those when I get caught up on this series.

Changed up my carry for the first time in a while today, though I stuck with the 74 pattern. This one was a direct result of the generosity of fellow porch member BDubbs BDubbs .

Edit - Easier to find a photo online than to find my own photo, or the pliers themselves! :rolleyes:

Boker plus Nessmi I recently bought. Very nice little knife, fit for pocket carry. Very decent leather sheath too, but I also had a holstex sheath made for this.

The Nessmi is a great little knife! I gave one like yours to my son and he loves it. I found one that was made in Solingen that I carry a lot.
Collector Knives has a nice pocket sheath that could have been made for the Nessmi.

Maybe if I could find where I have put the darn thing JJ! :D The addition works as a wee anvil as well as a hammer, it's easy to see how a cobbler or shoe-maker might find that useful :) Many thanks for the kind words buddy :) :thumbsup:
Since I can't keep my hands off of my new Lambsfoot, I paired it with a handy GEC 15 jack; both wearing wood. :)
Cool combo right there :cool: A great pair of working knives :thumbsup:

I'm off to the market tomorrow, with my Big Lambsfoot in tow ;) :thumbsup:
