What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Keeping with the canoe theme another day. Canal Street Canittler. Happy Friday everyone!

Carrying a "new to me" Northwoods Indian River Jack.
I'm happy it came to me in "user" condition, I'm not afraid to throw it right in my pocket.
It's a wonderfully made knife, it has a Spear Blade that I actually like (very pointy), the bone is absolutely gorgeous, and the CPM 154 is good steel.

Have to get a few things done around here today, the weather is turning bad tonight and tomorrow. Lots of rain and wind. I’ll have my Jack, a 15 (in ebony for Black Friday), and a “burgers” SD. Don’t get me wrong, I like steak, but grind it up and put it on a bun and I like it a whole lot more!

Not gonna pretend I'm carrying these today. I think my trousers would fall down under the weight if I attempted it. But they are out. Recent acquisitions with lovely stag handles. Both main blades have had to be re-profiled due to damage but they're still good and functional with excellent snap. The mariners knife is by Joseph Allen & son and the other is Taylor Eye Witness, both of Sheffield.

C’mon Mark. Cinch up yer belt, and put one in each pocket. Real cool knives there.

Nice scenery, you two!
Travel safely, Jeff. 🤠
Thank you, my friend. Too bad it’s for a wedding and not for fishing, because there’s some great fishing up there.

It’s a looker. And could be called a Cigar Jack, which is appropriate for greeting a new member of the family!

Leaving shortly for a short road trip. Day one will be a Camillus day.View attachment 1597049I chose one of my 72s to go with one of my 23s. (I have two of each, for ...reasons  )

And a Wenger Backpacker II. I will be prepared in case a tree falls across the road.View attachment 1597060
Have a good trip Jeff :)
Great knife, Jack. 🤠
Those two big blades will pair nicely with your Lamb.

Thanks pal, your Indian River Jack is a great new addition :)

Great selection, Todd. 🤠
Can't beat an Ebony 15 for simplicity and class.
I'm also enjoying your small SAK collection... love me some burgers too.
Too bad it’s for a wedding
I'm sorry, Jeff... I don't like wedding much either.
not for fishing, because there’s some great fishing up there.
Now that would make the wedding trip so much better... perhaps you could sneak away. ;)
It’s a looker.
Thank you very much, my friend. :)

Beautiful knife :thumbsup::thumbsup: Love the handles 😍
I don't know much about Northwoods. I know some were made by Queen and some by GEC. Did they ever make them in Michigan? Do you know who made this one?

I just might bring a rod, since we’ll be staying on a small lake full of crappie, bass, walleye, and Northern!.
Now that's proper planning. 🤠

This one was made by Queen... all the stainless ones were.
The story I was told, the knife developed a broken back spring and Derrick was able to get it fixed right before Queen closed their doors.
